looks like the metal got patina in it, watch all your parts, was just watching an art video and that is what your green oil reminded me of. I know they do not make singers like that anymore,. I have a juki du 1181N it is a good machine too. Also watch your oil for metal parts, could also be an algea, but, I know machine oil is made of white lily, kills everything. Used in pesticide. I do hope your machine does not do that again. Thank you again for the video.

is there still somebody answering to this video? If so, I have a question about the kind of oil I can use. I have a Singer 191D300AA, which is pretty similar to yours but with a metal cover over the belt that goes on the wheel to do manual stitching. Can I use silicon oil (this is a bare translation of the kind of oil I got since the real name is aceite siliconado) to replace the oil in the carter below the machine? Another question I have is whether I should pour some oil drops over the screws above the machine or not. I make this question because the previous owner told me to do so, but I did not hear you mentining that in the video. Thank you!!

Usually in industrial machines most of the oiling comes through the wicks in the oil pan. As its used it will lubricate itself. As for the actual oil and name, I'm not sure. I've always bought mine from a sewing machine place and asked for machine oil. Please do make sure its the right one before adding, or it can cease up the machine. Seek the guidance of a sewing machine mechanic if you can to make sure!
@garytaylor3079

Do not use Silicon Oil. Use Type C or a light grade clear sewing machine oil that should be available at any Industrial Sewing Machine Outlets. Also the metal cover you mentioned is a Belt Guard available with all Industrial Machines to keep anything away from the belt while sewing.

This only took around 30 minutes. You need to change your oil more often with heavy use. Make sure to check the level in the basin and make sure it’s not changing colour too quickly. Once a year should be sufficient.

the hinges of table-machines are connected to metal pins that are stuck vertically in the table. Once you have removed the driving belt connecting the motor to the machine, you can pull out the whole machine at once. While you do so, you just have to make sure that the hinges don't twist and counterlock against the table.
