Just get some lubricating oil like gun oil or knife pivot oil that’s in one of those pen shaped containers for your cups. I use the same oil I use for my knives that’s very low viscosity and use the fine tip applicator to drop some in my pivot cups and the squeaks are immediately gone. You can easily add this as needed without taking off your hangers to add wax. I also use one that is rust and corrosion resistant and it’s cheap as hell. Wax can get gunked up with dirt and become an asswhip. The low viscosity lube doesn’t hold a lot of dirt and tends to keep your cup cleaner and lasting longer.

Hey Ben! Just wanted to tell you I ended up trying out Clone wheels. They're good i'd say but a bit on the hard side... Definitely not going to convince Spitfire skaters to switch but a pretty good alternative to ride for a while.

Nah, I’ve got like 6 pairs of USA made 149s to blow through, and I really am more of a mini ramp person the older and more out of shape I get, so it will be years before I have to worry about buying trucks again.

Pete & Pete that’s what I came from it’s definitely a difference but I dig it. I also like how these 5.6 aren’t hollow and have the same weight as 149 indy hollow. I think indy forged titaniums are the GOAT tho if we are being honest

I had an old pair of tensor which I just got a brand new set of mids and the old ones had such a crook both have it was unreal lol pitching close to 3/4” deep no joke I used them several years. They were the ones with rubber pad on the ends that’s replaceable.

It's not just about the obvious quality drop. It's also about the ethical issue of buying chinese goods. Would you still buy these trucks if they were made in a Uighur concentration camp?

Why switching in the first place? Independent moved to china to lower production costs I guess, but on the other side, wouldn't punitive duties makes them more expensive again in the US? I guess in the end the prices wouldn't really change as well as the quality. Another alternative to Indies I'd see are Theeves. They have pretty similar specs (hight, weight), But it's difficult to find them somewhere if you don't life in Australia. I got lucky and bought two sets at the right time as they was still available in germany.

So did you give up indi’s and I’m seriously curious cause I didn’t even know this uh brill someone said something and I was like shit? It’s the principle with indi. I expected it from vans and others. But indi? These guys just continue to disappoint by changing cross logo, to now china made? It’s like Hardcore - gone pussy.

Few comments on an old video. First I’m beginning to notice the Chinese shit happening with dumb things like threads on axles or the axle nut? Bushings seem a bit different and bushing washers seem odd. I’ve ridden I did since I was 10 and I’m 50 now. I’ll say this they should bring back manufacturing like they should bring back the iron cross logo but I digress. Two funny that people need to be convinced almost to run ventures. Back in the day the two bad ass underground trucks were thunder and venture. I used to see a lot of Venice dudes running thunders and dude it seemed like all the hardcore SF dudes were running ventures. So both are good trucks and I believe both still made in US. I don’t know I hate to think that even my skateboard shit is now all China made. Lame.

How about you Nancy boys starting riding real trucks, tensor! Been riding them since 2000. Indy has always sucked! Slipped axles for most of the 90s, heavy as shit, baseplates made from cardboard and you people still bought them and supported them. That's like supporting Kim Kardashian. Tensor on the other hand have always been amazing! From day one. Best trucks ever! I'll ride them till I die!
