In today’s review, we’ll be taking a looking at the inexpensive Nolmyra chair from IKEA and seeing if it’s any good. Some good things that I found about this chair is that it was decently comfortable. The polyester material is soft to the touch and the sitting position creates kind of a lounge feel to it, by that I mean you sit pretty low and the backrest is angled out. You also get a good amount of space so you don’t feel crammed. Saying that, there are a couple problems with this IKEA chair. With this model, I noticed that the legs had significant cracks running along them. This compromises the structural integrity and can create problems in the future which will render the chair useless. Another problem I noticed is that cleaning the Nolmyra chair could be difficult due to the design of the fabric. It comes with hundreds of holes so if you do get anything in between them, it will be a hassle to clean. I also noticed something that could be annoying to some people, the metal frame and the fabric creates friction noises. I noticed this sound whenever I was adjusting my sitting position and when I leaned back against the backrest. Also, larger people may not find this IKEA chair comfortable as the metal frame isn’t padded so it could press into your hamstrings and/or your back.
