@MaxCherepenin

Yessir! currently owned this for a year and a half. and reliability is pretty good because the car essentially made with japanese parts. The engine and transmission are very strong and will easily last 200k miles easily. I would say the gas mileage will be less as this is a v6 330hp whereas honda has usually a v4 and lower powered and more fuel efficient.

I just spoke to a shop about installing RSR Downs on my 2014 Q50S AWD. The guy there told me that he has an AWD Q50 and he gets a shimmy when he takes off after installing the springs. Does anyone here have an AWD with lowering springs and have that problem?
@MaxCherepenin
5 жыл бұрын
Hello, same issue that happened to me (Im AWD)and still happens two years later. Its an issue of the diff or drive shaft since the oem parts shifted to a different angle after installing the springs. I feel I heard this is the reason why. Make sure to also have hub rings (not spacers) if you have after market wheels. I notice a small vibration at a general acceleration after stopping at a stop sign or a light and after 80mph and higher there is vibration. Sometimes its there sometimes its not. When you mess with the oem geometry of the car it will cause little things like this to happen.

So this is the RSR springs? Any camber kit needed? How does it ride compared to factory sport suspension?
@MaxCherepenin
6 жыл бұрын
Yep regular RSR springs. I heard from 1 guy that it will be beneficial in terms of reducing tire wear but in all honesty i have 6k miles on this set and the tires are like new still. I think getting proper alignment will prevent crazy wear and tear and won't really require a camber kit. If you do coils that might be a different story. Its a stiffer ride and plus my tires are a bit lower profile than the stocks but it feels good. The turns feel tight and no as much body roll like there was. Great investment even for a few hundred bucks.

Ryan Peek Wheel weight has a huge impact on performance. When you have a heavy rotating mass on each corner and all that extra unsprung weight, it negates so much of the power your car makes. It also makes your car feel heavy in corners and sluggish in acceleration. Power to weight ratio is big and that’s an easy way to trim weight!
@rpeek13
5 жыл бұрын
@@SpeedCultureStudios Haha yes I'm aware that heavy wheels will negatively affect the performance but my implied question was whether the wheels are heavier than stock. His answer is that they're lighter (hard to believe) which would disregard my concerns about performance. Thank you though.
@SpeedCultureStudios

Ryan Peek my bad, the way I read your question was whether or not heavier wheels impacted performance! You never know what people know on here lol! I believe weight if stock redsport wheels are close to 32lbs. Over 60lbs with tires. I’m seeing 20” Ferrada wheels coming in around 30lbs each. Not enough difference there to go that route! There are some pretty light wheels out there tho like 24-26lbs.

what % tint do u have on the front and back windows?
@MaxCherepenin

for the backs, 20% and 35% in the front. I had problem with cops in the past in my Z with 20% so i learned my lesson lol. Rears can be as dark as you want.

How much do these wheels weigh?
@MaxCherepenin
6 жыл бұрын
wish i can tell you exact numbers, but they are much lighter than the sport wheels. I'm going to guess with tires on probably in the 50s or less...? Again not too sure haha

Excellent video. Would you recommend 20 inch wheels over 19s? I cannot decide!
@MaxCherepenin

Yeah i know what you mean lol ive always had 19s on my cars. The 20s fill in the spaces nicely and it looks really badass!

How are the rsr springs? I want to lower my 50
@MaxCherepenin

Great! Had them on for two years, when through 2 winters with no issues. Bumps are more noticeable though, if you are all about comfort, I would not recommend. I would compare these to a 370 nismo as far as stiffness goes.

@MaxCherepenin

So i actually do not have a front lip. thats the stock sport bumper with red accent. As for the trunk lip i got that off ebay awhile back unfortunately i do not have a link for it. But you can search carbon fiber trunk spoiler for q50.
