Due to the amount of requests, I translated and compiled facts of this incident from trusted sources. This is the full, uncut version different from the one in mainstream circulation. I remain impartial to the racial politics surrounding this case, and merely reporting on it. So please do not shoot the messenger. The case gets complicated so read on.
A Chinese influencer who goes by the alias ''Oil head 46 points'' (bears a striking resemblance to Governer of Osaka prefecture Hirofumi Yoshimura) confronts the owner of Japanese-Chinese restaurant 西太后 (Empress Dowager Cixi). The 'master' of the shop had put up a sign that wrote, ''Chinese and Koreans are prohibited from entering''. As well as a side explanation ''To prevent the China Virus''「チャイナウイルス予防の為」After a tense arguement and getting the police involved, Oil head was initially unable to get the owner to remove the sign.
However, in a following video he managed to get it removed with aid from the Chinese Embassy in Japan. His video was disrupted by a Japanese citizen whom he later dragged into the subway with the police called. In retaliation, the shop owner sought advice from Taiwanese and Hong Kong netizens. They came up with the idea of displaying Winnie the Pooh pics, Tiannamen 1989 connotations, HK independence posters etc. This is to prevent Mainlanders from taking footage at the shop as these imagery are banned in China and could land them in trouble. There were other Chinese influencers who mimicked Oil head but stopped after this strategy. This has become a high profile case with many Japanese right wing groups and even conservative assembly men getting involved in support of the owner.
Hope we can all strive for peace, as they say ''When in Rome, Do as the Romans Do''
