Scott Jackson presented this BEAT-organized info session about the North Atlantic Aquatic Connectivity Collaborative (NAACC), its ongoing work, and how people can get involved and contribute to these efforts. Scott is a UMass Extension Professor and one of the leading developers of the NAACC and the regulatory standards created for surveying culverts and road-stream crossings.
This info session is part of BEAT's ongoing work to train and certify people in the NAACC Non-Tidal Aquatic Connectivity module so they can conduct surveys on culverts and road-stream crossings in Berkshire County. Learn how you can contribute to wildlife conservation through hands-on volunteer fieldwork!
If you are interested in helping with these surveys or getting certified as a Lead Observer, visit www.thebeatnew... to learn more.

This opportunity for NAACC certification is organized by Berkshire Environmental Action Team (BEAT). This work is made possible by the Berkshire Cold, Clean, Connected (BCCC) partnership, a collaboration of organizations that develop ecological restoration projects in Berkshire rivers and streams that protect cold-water fisheries, remove barriers to aquatic connectivity, and enhance clean, healthy rivers throughout Berkshire County.
BEAT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Pittsfield, MA. Its mission is to protect the environment for wildlife in support of the natural world that sustains us all. BEAT has three major focal areas: stewardship, education & outreach, and watchdogging. Through its work, BEAT enacts meaningful change throughout Berkshire County, western Massachusetts, and beyond.
