Climate change is perhaps the biggest existential threat that confronts the world at present. For us in Papua New Guinea, the challenges are all too real from catastrophes such as prolonged droughts to extensive flooding, from rising sea levels to disappearing islands, from strong winds to storm surges, the degree of prevalence and frequency such events have highlighted our vulnerability and the urgent need for effective adaptation measures.
In this session, we look at the issue of Climate Change adaptation in PNG. Our 2 panelist are
Mr. Jacob Ekinye, General Manager Adaptations and Projects at Climate Change and Development and Development Authority
Nicholas Booth, PNG Country Representative United Nations Development Programme.
