It was rather comedic. This was a neighbor's cow and he called two Texas Cowboys to help. They had to load it into a trailer and bring it to our place just down the road as he does not have a head chute. I am glad he got a laugh!!! Is he a real cowboy? I only did the video as I am 84 years old but I was a semi-cowboy many, many years ago. Check out the other videos. I am sure there are some from which he will get a chuckle!!! Thanks for watching.

Love life in the country. I had a cow I attempted to dehorn when young. She moved her head just as I went after the second horn and the cut was too high (off the hair line) and it grew back down toward her jaw. I had h/d rubber bands for banding young bulls so I tried "banding" her horn. A month or so later she walked up to the water trough and the horn was gone. She is a baldy longhorn now. You guys did a great job & nobody got hurt.

I have used a band to dehorn before also but it really hurts the animal. They will lay down most of the time right after it is applied. I do not use it any more.

You Tube decided to put you on my feed today, lol. I guess because I watch a lot of cow and hoof trimming videos. These negative comments are ridiculous. That was a love tap on her hind end, and when I saw the tail twist, I had to laugh, because the people commenting about it have no clue what is like to live on a ranch or farm, and handle livestock, except maybe the guy who says he's a cattleman in Australia- which I tend to doubt). I'm in Montana. They aren't pets, people. Even a lot of the dogs who help with the cows and other livestock, are *livestock*, and sleep outside. They are livestock. They are tough animals. Politely ask a cow to voluntarily go into a head chute, and see how that works out for ya LOL. Also, I don't know if any mention was made about her mooing, (because I stopped reading comments), but she was just talkin' to the other cows. You guys did a great job. I'm subscribing.

He didn't kick her! He placed his foot on her behind to show her which way to go. Had he got close enough to place his hand on her, he would have been close enough to be kicked and severely injured.
