Grew up there on the corner of Kitch. My grandparents owned Jari Chas daycare on Inkster rd before moving away and Jonah’s seafood back in the day.

Born and raised Lucerne and Inkster road, 1950's -- 1970's. White Asbestos-sided house in a blue-collar semi-ghetto . We had bullet holes in the STOP signs my whole life. Used to lie awake and hear gunshots as a youth in the 1960's. We had FUN; but the violence has been ever-present. Black leather coats, Stingy-brim lid, Grease-slicked back combed hair, Ban-lon shirt and pants. Fights and Shootings being a common occurrence. I myself (unarmed), was involved in a shooting in 1970. We beat up the shooter; took his gun, and left him lying, bleeding in the dirt, for the police. Lost alot of friends to drugs and alcohol, bullets, and prison. Motorcycle Club / Bikers. "Little Saigon" name, -- reference VIOLENCE; not ethnicity. 5 cops killed, ( 3 killed on 7/9/87), more wounded over the years. For a city of 28,000, (population declining), and 6 square miles; its amazing the amount of insane crime and violence that occurs. They raised funds for the IRA at church, in my youth. Organized crime (including an uncle of mine), had always been present; to a degree. Irish, Polish, Germans, Italians, Russians, Ukrainians, Whites, Blacks, Latino/Mexicans, etc. A veritable mixed, boiling pot of poor, struggling, working-class people, at the 'bottom'. Cheap housing is a plus; however, .. But, Stay away if you value your life; as life is also cheap there.

Some of those side streets are in bad shape. It does look cleaner then some Detroit neighborhoods. Allot of vacant lots, city must have demolished allot of delect homes. It doesn't look like a high end suburb. The people who still live there, seem to take care of their homes.

I believe you chose to show the less than areas when there are much better areas, subdivisions, strip malls not to mention it wasn't trashy where you were. All things considered I have seen improvement here and I have been a small part of making a difference. It's easy to judge a place you haven't really been a part of. Cruising along the older neighborhoods to show what exactly? Bumpy streets? Vacant lots? Though I must give you credit for your cinematography. I have yet to find a city or even a rural area that's close to perfection. Keep cruising along and next time add a narrative to the city of Inkster with updated accurate information. That's it for now.

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer. The question is what device do you use to mount your mobile on the dashboard of the car. I am trying to use my mobile to record while driving. I would appreciate your response. Thank you so much.

I mean yea but it’s not Detroit though. It’s a suburb of Detroit that can be considered ghetto. Suburb doesn’t necessarily mean nice it just means sub-urban while a city is urban. Because it’s just outside a city.

@@TeoDocs nah it's Detroit because the same N's from Inkster originally came from Detroit. So technically anywhere they are, it's a ghetto.

I mean they're doing some shit but mainly only on the big ones like Middlebelt and Michigan, and you know how Michigan is when it comes to finishing shit it started, well pair that with a smaller hood suburb
