I have only been to Ontario International Airport one time. It was forty-eight years ago on 7/18/1972. We took off at 7:55 PM on Hughes AirWest flight 888 to Phoenix, AZ. At the time of take-off I made a decision to never drink alcohol for as long as I lived. I had some bad experiences with relatives who drank while I was in the area. That was likely the most beneficial decision I have ever made. Thank you for the flyover.

Micah, I live in Upland. They are doing a large construction project currently at the 10 and Euclid. They actually just demolished an overpass to rebuild it when they widen the freeway just East of Euclid. There is an airport in Upland I am suprised you have never flown out of there or at least over it. It would be great in one of your next IE flights if you were to fly directly over Euclid. Thanks for putting these out there, great to watch and my kids love them.

The Covenant of Rancho Santa Fe is 9000 acres, inland from the Del Mar Race Track, Bing Crosby's house is on the golf course. Follow that Valley to the Lake. The Clottfelters created the Covenant, and he bought all the land up and down the coast for conservation. So all those spots that are bird sanctuaries are was because of the Clottfelters. A lot of Hot air Ballons go up at dusk from Del Mar. The Ballon trips over that area are cool. Please Drive up lomas Sante Fe Drive and take Linea Del Cielo through Rancho Santa Fe...out to Escondido. I love that whole Area, it's fun driving the windy road, would love to see it from the sky.

Thank You Micah. This is something I've wanted to see for years and probably won't get the chance to do it since I'm 65 and not experienced except as a passenger with my ex father in law who was a lot of fun and found his freedom from my ex mother in law who he loved but she was one hell of a dominator. He flew a Cessna and we landed in heavy crosswinds so bad other pilots and the controller came out to applaud and congratulate him on a good landing when others had left the runway. Your 4th of July flight was epic. I live due north of Upland over the mountains at the Los Angeles San Bernardino county line and south of the 138 fwy. I have 10 acres of peace and nature. I'm still like a kid when it comes to nature and technology too. I guess that's why I still feel like I'm 40, except for my broken back. It's a beautiful world and people are usually good when money doesn't twist their values. I wish the best for you and your beautiful loving family. Again, Thank You Micah.

Crazy amount of flat roofs, mostly for warehouses and distribution centers it looks like. Ontario Mills Mall is pretty huge too. Wikipedia says its the largest single level mall in western North America and has 1,432,928 sq ft of retail floor area. To the west of Ontario Mills Mall is the site of the former Ontario Motor Speedway (north of the 10). There's still a park called Ontario Motor Speedway Park. The "big hole" is near the intersection of S Haven Ave and E Mission Blvd (southeast of Ontario Int'l Airport.) The figure 8 track is on 8th St between Center Ave and Haven Ave (Utility Trailer, 10355 8th St, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730). It appears to just be a turnaround area for semi trucks towing long trailers.
