I think scientific / latin names are the best names to know, as these are the names you can consult scientific research for. When we want to keep corals, success and failure may vary on the hardiness and adaptability of the species. But i believe that when looking at where these corals originate from (e. g. Reef crest, lagoon, magrove, deepwater..) we can enhance our success rates in replicating (or at least coming more close to) these environments in our tanks.

I'd love to know Dillions maintenance routine. I have a Nuvo 20 that I have been battling air algae on and off. Also what do you clean the sand with in such a shallow tank. So far I have been tweaking my feeding and increased the percentage of my water change.

Test the parameters of your RODI water. And have you too many fish? Also stop with the pellet foods and use frozen or live.

You can tell by the coralite structures and ridges. Symphylia have a shared wall coralite where lobophylia have separate walls. This looks to be a Christmas symphyllia.

Mind sharing Dillon’s prime settings? Also what is the total water volume of Dillon’s IM20 + Tia’s evo shared system?
