At first I thought they were meant for quads but going on my pad shows that they’re meant for both! Plus side Bluecoats use these!

This review just gave the every reason I needed to go through with buying these sticks. Awesome review!! Interestingly, the pair that I got had a rounded back end instead of IP’s usual flat back end
@HypeTheClean

Awesome! Yeah from what i hear, IP is rolling the rounded butt end out for that model. Not sure about the others. Thanks for watching!

These sticks are pretty nice when you get a good pair, but with IP sticks it's a challenge to find a high pitched, balanced pair with some weight to them. Make sure if you order a pair online, order from a drum store! Lonestar and Steve Weiss will be your best bet.

+somenicediddles Great suggestion on ordering! I believe IP has their own amazon store as well?? Not 100% sure on this though.

I’ve used Jim Casella’s since the second semester of my freshman year in high school and this season my school got a new director and he agreed to switch to Casella’s. They’re one of my go to sticks and they feel great, assuming I get a good pair :P

A lot of sticks feel good when they're new but then as you use them for a while they start to feel worse but in my opinion Casella's start good but then get better and better the longer you use them and that's my favorite part of them

My sticks only really change their feel enough to matter if they've been through the hardships of a season with the sweat from the hands and whatnot

Our new instructor switched us to these and at first I was not a fan. I was used to a Hardimon which feels a lot heavier imo; it just felt odd. However, these things are my new favorites. Wouldn’t trade them for anything.

These are my go to sticks. I used these on tour and could not be more satisfied with these. I've also used these in indoor and I think they are a very versatile stick. The round bead really allows for a full sound at the low and high ends of dynamics. Great review! Also, have you noticed the new round butts IP has come out with?
@HypeTheClean

Definitely agree with the versatility! I haven't seen the rounded off ends on any of the IP sticks up close yet, just on pictures and what not. Thanks for watching Eric!

They have such a nice weight in the hands and they feel great when you're on the move! The bead is big so you get a full dark sound since there's so much contact. They even sound good on tenors!

Got a question how come they arent made of that dark brown wood anymore?
@HypeTheClean
6 жыл бұрын
As far as I know, IP switched most of their sticks to the white hickory which is a bit stronger than what they were using before. So if this is so, I would lean towards the overall life of the stick.

Hey Matt, for some reason your comment has been in the spam folder for a year. Whoops. So any sticks will wok on quads really. It's just a matter of preference. And I think this goes in hand with what you're saying. I think each stick serves a certain purpose. It's not a matter of what I like or dislike about it, it's more about how they will perform within a certain application.
