don't forget to finish off your tortillas cooking first by putting some golden brown spots across them on both sides,🙂 It's standard operating procedure in Mexico you need to keep both types of you're both corn and flour tortillas. You particularly need to heat up corn tortillas for two reasons. It makes the corn tortilla more flexible so it does not crack when you fold it over to make a taco and the tortillas you buy from the store are not actually finished cooking. You need to get a little Browning and little dots light golden Browning all across the tortilla to bring out the flavor. And yes with flour tortillas you want to get nice browning spots golden all across the tortilla to Improve The Flavor. (You wouldn't eat raw dough / half-baked pasty white flour dough bread before it finishes baking and turns Golden would you?) And when you flip sides remember the second side it's going to cook up Faster than the first side. (Since the tortilla is already hot) you can do this on a grill. Inside the house you can Brown them up on a comal /"cast iron or sturdy frying pan." You can even flip them directly onto your gas stove grates over the burner. It's harder to control the Browning you're more baking and drying, but if you're desperate you can try warming them up in your toaster oven. At the very least if you just have the toaster oven set very low it at least makes the corn tortillas so they won't crack when you fold them over. And it's always nice to have a warm tortilla wrapped around your hot food. Better than a cold tortilla. But a big feature of heating them up/ finishing cooking them with some golden brown spots across them will Improve the flavor. You just got to practice on how to heat them up and get the golden spots across the tortilla without entirely drying out the tortilla or ending up with burnt black or very dark brown spots. To low of a temperature you can end up just cooking out all the moisture and of course too high of a temperature burn it. But I think you lean a little towards higher heat for quicker Browning without drying the inside of the tortilla. Luckily corn tortillas don't cost that much and it doesn't take that much practice 😅,😉🙂 remember those tortillas you buy premade in the store are not "finished cooking" and getting the light golden brown spots also definitely brings out the flavor and you really need to do that depending how shodily, quickly, or poorly made the tortillas are that you get in the store. You need to get those golden spots and bring out that flavor. And of course help keep your corn tortillas from splitting along the seam when you fold them over.

Donair (Canadian east-coast specialty) Donair Meat: 2 pounds medium ground beef 3 cloves minced garlic ½ cup all-purpose flour 4 tsp sweet paprika 3 tsp dried oregano 2 tsp salt 2 tsp onion powder 1 tsp pepper ¾ tsp cayenne pepper Sweet garlic sauce: 1 can sweetened condensed milk 3/4 tsp garlic powder 1/4 cup white vinegar Additional ingredients: Pita bread (warmed) Finely diced white onion Diced tomato For the meat, mix all spices together and, using your hands, blend with the ground beef and minced garlic. Form into a loaf pan (like you would meatloaf) and cook at 300 degrees for about 2 hours. Cool. Slice thin and heat on the flat-top when ready to eat. To make the sweet garlic sauce, mix all ingredients until thickened. Easiest way is to add everything into a jar, close the lid, and shake until it forms a thick sauce. Wrap the hot, sliced beef in the warm pita. Top with the finely diced white onion, diced tomato and the sweet garlic sauce.

don't forget to finish off / finish cooking your tortillas before you make your tacos or burritos. It's standard operating procedure in Mexico. If you forget or if you want you can actually finish off your burrito after it's been made by rolling around on a "hot pan" you need to "heat, "toast/Brown"/ "finish of" both types of tortillas, corn and flour tortillas. You particularly need to heat up corn tortillas for two reasons. It makes the corn tortilla more flexible so it does not crack when you fold it over to make a taco and the tortillas you buy from the store are not actually finished cooking. To low of a temperature you can end up just cooking out all the moisture and of course too high of a temperature burn it. But I think you lean a little towards "higher heat" for quicker Browning without drying the inside of the tortilla. (Probably not literally the setting on your stove. But maybe you could figure out a way to make that work the best😅😉) Luckily corn tortillas don't cost that much and it doesn't take that much practice 😅,😉🙂 remember those tortillas you buy premade in the store are not "finished cooking" and getting the light golden brown spots also definitely brings out the flavor and you really need to do that depending how shodily, quickly, or poorly made the tortillas are that you get in the store. Give the avocado a Gentle squeeze. If it's rock hard it's going to take a few days to ripen if it's hard maybe it'll take a day or two. If you feel a little bit a little bit of give to it it is ripe or just about right. This depends on your opinion of what a little bit give is. If it has easy give it is basically ready to make guacamole out of it. If it has too much give it is overripe and garbage.

What the inside of the Avocado is called Is ....TASTY! 😁 I can't believe that with how much You like Cooking AND LIVING "ON THE BORDER" that you "just now figured out" that you need to "heat up/toast" the tortillas before using them, if you want to just them properly and get the best taste! 😲🤪😅 This is ESPECIALLY With the 'cheap sloppy" mass produced stuff We get in the grocery stores! (The tortillas you get in the "USA" grocery stores are not fully cooked/finished. 😲 That is right everybody! You need to heat up the corn tortillas("all tortillas") on your grill , a comal or /cast iron pan or whatever you've got on your stove. (If you have a gas stove you can even heat them up right on the burners grate. Don't go wild with the flame! 😅😉 Or if you are really desperate... Even in "your toaster oven" for a little while, it will still be better than "nothing"! 😅 Heating/"toasting" them up Will bring out the flavor in the tortillas. Particularly Corn tortillas. Nice if you can get a little color on the Corn tortillas too. (but not dry them completely out.) This is true even of Flour tortillas which also definitely do are not finished cooking when you get them from the grocery store. You need to get a good about of "golden dots" toasted across the surface, For the flour tortillas to be their best. And it is even more important to heat up the Corn tortillas For Flavor and the help make them Flexible So They Don't Crack on you, when you fold them. 🙂 And you really DON'T need to put oil on them. Especially for shredded pork tacos! :-) But yes ... almost everything tastes better fried in oil.😅😁😉 But surprisingly sometimes Not... 😲 And definitely with some tacos NOT worth Frying the tortillas. And not frying them makes them Healthier! Also Easier to make, safer to make 😁 Not frying the tortillas also makes it easier to prepare the tacos, and clean up after without the oil mess. Although I do kind of like the brushing oil and 'grilling" technique idea... Every now in then on a taco a little heart clogging oil and crisp is good... 😁 😉
