I do residential and commercial hvac and plumbing I just started using the packout bookbag and I love the fact I can put a organizer on the bottom, I had a shoulder injury a few years ago and I can say it has made a huge difference because I dont just put the stap on my bad arm and with the organizer its so much safer going up and down. Love the channel guys keep it up

Another Good one Gents! I also have gravitated to a bag that zips up from the old open top style for the reasons you fellas expressed in the vid. These types of bags will be about perfect if they finally start making them out of a highly water resistant material with water resistant zippers. Cant tell ya how many times ive been caught doing work outside with my bag when the unpredictable weather started spitting rain. The zipped up bag helps protect when the weather turns foul but extra water resistant material would take it to the next level.

Klein Canvas Tool Bag. Preferably the deluxe version for the interior pockets and shoulder strap. No zippers to break or get stuck. Interior pockets for your most used tools. A flat base to put smaller Klein canvas bags with less used tools. To top it off, the professional look of it. There’s a ton of people with backpacks, totes, 1000’s of pockets, portable tv’s and x-ray machines. I enjoy using something someone of my craft used maybe 20,30,70 years ago. The 2nd kind of cool of nostalgia that comes with the bag is awesome. Pure Americana.

the biggest problem a lot of these work bags is the bottoms of the pouches are sewn flat to the bag. you might find a pouch big enough to start sliding your bit box into, but with the bottom of the pocket sewn flat, it will never go all the away down of the pocket. how hard is it to make a useful pocket?

Hey Guys! I'm on the M18 platform and need a jigsaw. Anybody got any good/bad recommendations on the M18 Fuel Jigsaw (not the barrel style). I see that Home Depot has that jigsaw with 8.0aH and 6.0aH batteries, a bag, and a rapid charger for $299. Is that a good deal? Thanks for any input! :-)

If you get to speak with any Makita reps can you ask if they have any plans for a new brushless multi tool? The one they have isnt brushless and is years old already, and the blade change isnt great compared to Dewalts which is faster and easier. I love Makita i just dont like their multitool

Eh, I'm sure its a nice bag, but not for me. I will keep with a pack out system (I use Ridgid) and belts. One tool belt for carpentry and a smaller belt wrapped up in my electrical box. Grab and go. I also use 2 Husky open top totes for bigger stuff. Like clamps, extra tapes, hammers, flat bars, different squares and miter guages. General things that I use but don't want to carry around. My other tote is more for plumbing. I do have a 16in Husky bag for all my bits. It fits in the Ridgid crate with a pig tail, a Dewalt multi outlet and loose batteries.

Now if someone made a bag or tote that integrated the tool belt with it, I would definitely go for that.

2:59 I put an extension onto my zipper, to allow me to open that pocket without taking tools out. Also, I use my old strap from my bag that was way more comfy for me😉 The one thing I did find liking the least “hooks” on front tool pockets that really hold the tools in place. Thought wouldn’t like that; but I do, b/c I know they won’t fall out. Just wondering about durability. Also think gotta register the bag if want zipper warranty, if I remember correctly 🤔 The handles, yeah...noticed that really quick after bag was loaded up, & soon as picked it up. Definitely need to be a bit bigger/thicker. Also, kinda wish had a few less pockets on inside & they added a “hard shell pocket” for like a meter or testers etc...on separate outside, or inside compartment. Have some bags for for just about everything (HVAC/plumbing, trim carpentry, general purpose) ; & overall, not a bad bag for around $85-$94... Do like closed top mostly, but if doing electrical conduit work or plumbing, it’s nice to have an open top bag to see & grab the tools. Cheers VCG✌🏼

I think you should have me on the show to show my veto tp-xl diagnostic/maintenance/light repair load out and then my veto riggers installation load out. Solid video. Glad to see other companies are stepping up their tool bag game and entering into the higher end market of tool bags. I formerly used a bucket buddy system because it had the plastic bottom to keep tools dry, has space for everything, and was easy to work out of but after going through three in a year, I switched to veto. Love them and have been a repeat customer.

Way to much for a commercial HVAC diagnosing and simple repair bag I use a veto MB with a set of 8 standard wrenches, 2 lollipop gauges, fluke 902 meter, 6inch malco reverse tip and 6 inch 3/8 bit and Handel, needle nose, channel locks, linesman pliers, jumpers, service wrench, strippers, crimpers, and a adjustable wrench, old tape roll with various wire nuts and crimp on connect, and a hilmar 9in1 those tools will cover 90% of what you need for simple repair and diagnostic P.S. I work on everything from 200 hp steam boilers to 1.5 ton heat pumps 500 ton chillers in schools and hospitals

Hello VCG In 30 years I have tried a bunch of bags. What works for me the best is a soft carpenters open top square bag with a handle. I have had that style with all my basics for ruffly 20 plus years. I back it up with a few Huskey bags, and the Main model box system I us is Rigid, and I support that with a few large steel Ridgid job site containers. THAT IS HOW I ROLL !!!
