The stuff is probably all still in there because they just hadn't moved it yet. Really cool to see my hometown on video like this, though.

I have to drive between 40-45 minutes to the nearest Walmart where I lived. It is not a bad drive towards that Walmart. The Walmart that I go to is always busy when I go into it. This Walmart has a Subway restaurant in it. Nice service desk area. It was built in 2012. The original old school Walmart was in front of it during construction. The old one was smaller store. It was torn down shortly after the newer and bigger store was opened. I remembered going into the new store it was really bigger and very nice. I was recovering from a broken ankle at that time during 2012. I was using those shopping cart scooters around the store having a walker with me in the cart. My mother was shopping for groceries and stuff in the store. I think it was in May or June 2012. I liked going to Walmart for a few things. I also go to Target that is a little bit farther than Walmart. One store that I totally missed that was very close towards my apartment was Shopko. That went out of business in 2019. I liked to go in it really quickly and was able to pickup some items there.

Me and my friends took them all. We checked the security office and they didn't take the security systems and we took those also. Lucky we had room ro put everything in the back of the vehicle. We kept eyes on the place and nobody arrived and did anything. Cause we put clear tape on the top of doors to see if they was ever opened. Homeless People was staying inside until one of them told someone that reported it to the police. Those that was on there was charged with breaking and entering and theft. It was later demolished.

Wal-Mart has a company that provides, sets-up and removes store fixtures for them. The "crew" and the big trucks will show-up in the middle of the night, the guys will do their thing and the place will be ready for a Megachurch or what-ever to move in! There is an "empty" Wally-World near me full of store fixtures, lights and carts. They keep a few for "warehousing" and as they call it "product staging" holding next season's items for 30-45 days from distribution centers part-way to retail stores. They keep HVAC units in there for stores and freezer parts etc. so everything isn't a drop-dead emergency too. Lose a "drive-in" reefer unit and you have to wait 36-72 hours for the big truck to bring a new one, 12-24 hours installation, tons of lost product, have to re-fill the freezer, and I only worked for a Safeway in the late 1960's! W-W's have freezers bigger than our entire STORE was (25,000 sq. ft.) plus labor and cleaning. Sterilizing a drive-in ceiling to floor (has to be done!) is HARD, LONG, BACK-BREAKING WORK! Health Dept. hovering with test tubes for samples.
