If transistria has a majority russian population then good for them they are independent. Same goes about artsakh. If artsakh has a majority armenian population which i think it does then why azerbajdjan has invaded artsakh? Just because USSR draw the borders not correctly? As it s the case of transistria. The same mistake they made with tajikistan giving majority tajik enclaves to uzbekistan and kyrgyzistan. Crazy! People should have right to govern the areas were their ancestors lived FROM ANTIQUITY. Everything else is theft! When you stole someone s land , HIS HISTORICAL LAND WHERE HIS ANCESTORS GRAVES ARE you are a thief anf in my opinion NO MATTER THE CENTURIES THAT PASSES YOU ARE NEVER A RIGHTFUL OWNER IN SOMETHING YOU HAVE INVADED AND STOLEN FROM OTHERS.

Transnistria is internationally recognized as a part of Moldova. It has diplomatic recognition only from two Russian separatist states: Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Abkhazia and South Ossetia are separatist regions of Georgia in the Caucasus. Most countries recognise them as part of Georgia, while Russia, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Nauru, and Syria regard them as independent.
@ionicafardefrica
18 күн бұрын
not really, it has a bit more support, sadly. Serbia recognized them, but not officially (they stated they would like to strenghten ties with Transnistria, both economically and military. Yes they referred them by name, and not as a part of Moldova). Russia doesn't officially recognize them, but won't retreat their army from the region, despite being asked to do so on multiple occasions by Moldova. Belarus doesn't officially recognize them, but they trade and have ties with them as they were a separate country. And finally Ukraine said they will support Transnistria as a separate state in case of Romania and Moldova ever uniting. Imagine that, Ukraine backstabbing Romania and Moldova while they are getting help from them as we speak. Classic.

@@TrackANaziMerc I'm afraid that's not how it works. The population doesn't get to decide if they belong to a country or not. The lands defacto belong to a territory, while the population is fluid and move in and out of the place. Just because you are a Greek living in the UK, that doesn't automatically mean the land you live on belongs to Greece or is independent. You are still in England. The same situation applies to Tiraspol and Transnistria. Hope this helps you understand better.

What does "more close to Europe" even mean, I certainly hope you're not one of those people who are confusing Europe with European Union. If we think about what European is, looks or feels like, then we must think of which country is Europe's largest country. With only the European part of Russia being the largest country (or part of country) on the European continent, this part of Russia taking just over 40% of the European continent, and the remaining roughly 60% shared by 52 or so other different countries, we can come to no other conclusion than that Pridnestrovie must feel like Russia. And it certainly does

Artsakh went to the hell. Armenians made genocide against civilian Azerbaijanis in Khojaly. Invaded Azerbaijan’s territories causing tens of thousands of killing people and making 1 million Azerbaijanis refugees. But at the end God punished Armenians with the slap of Azerbaijani soldiers. Azerbaijan fought and got back its territories. But unlike what Armenians did, Azerbaijanis were asking Armenian civilians to stay there. See the difference and power of Azerbaijan. Good for Azerbaijan.
