I'm fortunate enough to only live about 2 hours away from The House on the Rock. Every 5 years or so, I venture down to take a look. It's all so overwhelming every time. I love to see new people experience it, your whole video I was saying to myself "wait till he gets to the carousel room"! Glad you enjoyed this insane creation!

The way the den and kitchen area is lit and combined with the playing of Bolero reminds me of the set to create the mood used for the first time Bo Derek and Dudley Moore hook up in "10." 7:40 is the theme to the Godfather. 16:00, Makin Whoopee was first recorded by Eddie Cantor in 1928. It has been referenced or covered 29 times since. It was used in the Fabulous Baker Boys (1989).

Been there twice last time summer 1992. They were doing work in a area so couldn't see it. The Merry-go-round was the end of the tour. They had a room of glass that went out over the bluff and you could walk out over the bluff. The room narrowed out to a point and part of the floor was glass and you could see the bluff under your feet. Was very cool. It does take awhile to go thru the whole tour. Enjoyed seeing it again. Thank you for the memories.

I think I enjoyed seeing it with you more then when I was alone and hearing your reaction. The last time I was there the carousel room was no where near finished and I was amazed by it today watching your program. Now I live 3 states away and will probably never get back to see it again so I was very happy to go through it with you Jordan thank you.

Brings back alot of memories! As a kid I'd dream of living in that house. My favorite animatron music was "The Mikado". It looks like the Foundation has really expanded the collections to beyond. The flat rocks you see in the house are Lannon stone from the quarries of Lannon, WI. You are correct- in person is a much more intense experience. That area of WI is gorgeous and fun to explore: Mt. Horeb with the trolls, Blue Mound with the Cave of the Mounds. Thanks for the vlog!

I just in the area last week, Jordan. Glad you like it . When I was on my honeymoon in 1978 I was brushed by the guy that built the house. Grumpy, very unfriendly. Went through a hidden door, and did not return. I loved all the things, but there is so much more stuff now. The story behind the builder and Frank Loyd Wright is interesting, check it out. The cave in the area is super also.
