If you want something even more casual than a book-style zine, you can do a one-page zine, like I did recently. That's also small and simple enough a photog can upload it to their socials so people can make their own at home.

Definitely cool insight I spent the last 12 months shooting vintage LED signs "I know so original" but I'd love to put them in a zine so this was a cool watch. Thanks ribsy

great video, love the personal chat in a public place. nice to listen and see the product, but also get to glimpse at street life somewhere else. some of the commentary about 'throw away' reminded me of a recent @oliSUNvia video 'drowning in entertainment - the age of distraction', she made some good points about the value of slowing down and spending a bit of time with a piece of art. i feel like that's what the printed zine format helps with, especially the smaller formats that you can jam in a pocket or a small backpack

Re: "throwing images away"....Maaaaan, people's attention spans are way too short. Ain't no one going to remember what pictures you posted. They're more concerned with the dent in their car or what they're going to eat for lunch, know what I'm saying? Curate the images and projects the way you want. If it's great it will always be classic. Social media is fleeting.

instagram is sht. But you can make diffrenet work specificially for social media and focused work and long term projects forr books.

Agreed. The only thing I appreciate from Instagram is how you can group up to ten shots into a post whereas on a dedicated photography site like Flickr, images have to stand on their own, receiving attention on their own only.

definitely! photographers should experience each others work beyond instagram
