You are very negative about Lebanon, last week you talked about the rapid gunfire over your head during the celebrations, this week you've talked about it again, it happened get over it, it doesn't look good to the outside world, but it's their tradition, you don't like it, leave, it's nice that you are showing the world about lebanon, but keep out the politics.

I grew up with people from Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Kurds and you have a lot of warm, beautiful and educated people. They problem is that you had wars in the Middle East for thousands of years. This you can't only blame the politicians or the kings that ruled. The change has to come from inside each individual. Learn to have distance to yourself, stop using violence to solve every conflict. For example; Just because a man flirted with your sister you don't haft to kill them. Or even worst kill their own sister for having sex before marriage. Fuck pride, pride hurts! Only when this honor culture is gone the Middle East can reach its true potential.

I love your series, in general, and really appreciate your interest and passion for travel and cultural diversity, made the ways you contribute to opening up the world for people, especially no, so a big thank you from a fellow world traveler, on a low budget, with no trust fund. I was lucky enough to travel to New Zealand as well and people were so lovely and kind. I have a comment about context. Human beings tend to be more resilient when they don’t feel helpless. People from wealthy countries visit more impoverished countries, and often seem to respond to their own fear. This is why they see what they want to see, which is generally a “peace loving society of innocent victims” who they can help. It would be far more respectful to research, in depth, the genuine issues that created the current situation, in any country before making naive judgments about them. I wonder if this feels insulting and a tad elitist to the people in these counties, when the people from richer countries appeasing a guilty conscience at their expense, think they are “helping”. It is better to take an objective view of the issues in any country, as much as possible before giving in to the indulgence of appeasing a temporary fear based reaction. Upon reflection, it might be more useful to see people for who they actually are, instead of through a veil of guilt and pity, to see if you still think a person who makes weapons is lovely and full of peace. If a person believes in equality, they should probably apply a similar standard in all cases, to make any judgment, before they pat themselves on the back for their insights.

Lebanon is currently living the "collapse phase", just like Venezuela did in 2016-2018. My prediction is that many things will change in the country, and if the Lebanese manage to avoid war, the country will adapt to a new reality in a few years, again, just like Venezuela is doing right now. See it as someone who had an accident a lost a leg: first he thinks life is over and there is nothing to do, but after the mourning period he realizes that life goes on and learns to live with one leg, amid its limitations, or even gets a prosthetic.

@@jadtarhini4311 its was beautiful ❤️ i am also from lebanon but it was better before the government ruled lebanon
now Lebanon is cheap for those who have dollars (back in 2019 1 dollar =1500LL, now in 2020 1 dollar =8500LL in the black market ), so it is a good option for tourists, the increase in prices affected the locals who get paid in Lebanese currency, for example, 1 year ago the residential rent for a standard apartment was 500$ per month now the rent is about 100$ or less. all this happened because of the dollar shortage.

Yes but during the pandemic tourism stopped. We as people living in Lebanon are suffering from the drop in the lira. 1500LL used to be a dollar. Now its 9000LL for a dollar. The people living here are still getting in Lebanese Lira and not in USD.

It is amazing to see how this KZitemr started as a rather light weight type of travelling and commentaries and now transformed himself in a very good documentarist of serious issues. Indigo grew up in front of our eyes. It is like he was an innocent kid from NZ and now is a seasoned independent journalist. Congratulations!

@@reyrodriguez1005 Yeah you are right but what this guy means is that Lebanon have witnessed way more than a bad economic situation Lebanon fought 16 countries and never lost, Lebanon witnessed 25 years of continuous war and stood on its legs again, and now Lebanon is witnessing a hard time and corrupt government but beleive me it will be back.
