I love this movie and I'm so glad to see someone put this up. I have the original DVD which was bare bones and had no extras. Thank you!

There's a lot of similarities between this movie production and Blade Runner's production before it; Lighting, Rain, Smoke, Neon, Revamped Hollywood street set... and so on. Interesting.

I remember taking the Universal Tour right after the film came out. The exterior buildings and the tarps were still there.

Thanks for uploading this. Classic movie. This really should have been on the DVD, the only special feature on the one I have is the original trailer. I agree with those who said they should release a Special Edition for collectors, it has a loyal cult following who would appreciate it.

It makes me sad a movie as polished as this didn't do better than it did. It got a bit of a resurgence later on but its still pretty much lost in time. And all the actors in it were really great, testament to the fact that many of them are now huge names in Hollywood. I think the generation of people who watched Glee, and Pitch Perfect 1/2 would really like this film due to its fun factor and high energy. People who watched Back to the future or Blade runner would enjoy this films visual look. I think any art, film or music student should really see this film as an example of how to create something that can stand the test of time. If you've played the games Streets or Rage or Final Fight you'd recognise a lot of the character style, art, and background design, those games creators loved this movie. If you watch anime such as Bubblegum Crisis or AD Police Files, this movie was one of the major influences alongside Blade Runner. If youre a fan of Fleetwood Mac or Meatloaf, then i can also tell you Stevie Nicks and Jim Steinman worked on the music on this film. Flashdance fans, Marine Jahan (Jennifer Beals double) helped with the choreography. So much to offer, yet so little praise and recognition. Please watch it if you havent and tell others about it if you enjoy it too.

Good that Madigan pushed for a female side kick and not the original male one, she's perfect.

Being released the same weekend as Star Trek III The Search for Spock was probably a bad call on somebody's part.

Now wait a minute. Star Trek III - The Search for Spock was released on Friday, September 21, 1984 which was opened the different weekend, but on Universal-International/StudioCanal's Streets of Fire was probably a bad call on somebody's part. Released on Wednesday, December 12, 1984.

A cult classic. Wonderful, stylized stuff. Everybody was terrific except Rick Moranis who was desperately mis-cast in my opinion. Pare is always convincing, cool and under appreciated. Watch it with a pal and a six-pak or better yet, twelve.
