I loved Stevie Johnson. He was a one of a few bright spots in which was a very dark time for us Bills fans

Truly a strange career. Not only in how he played the game, but the way he made it to the NFL period. When he become a 49er, I was really excited to see what he could do, but just as fast as he had made a name for himself in Buffalo, injuries nuked his production the final couple of years. Unfortunate, but at least he'll be remembered. This video is proof of that.

I remember those Bills vs Jets games still. Fitzmagic would always give Stevie a shot, and I think its why they had the success they did against Revis. No fear

One of my favorite underrated Wide Receivers growing up. Stevie Johnson, Pierre Garcon (Colts era), Steve Breaston (Cardinals), were really ahead of their time during that 2007-2011 era of football. They had a certain level of smoothness, technique and creativity in their routes, that we admire from this modern era of receivers. It kind of broke out with Victor Cruz/ Odell Beckham. Now, Receiver is without question - a top 5 essential team building position.

I am no joke wearing his jersey right now! He's been my favorite player sense 2010-2011, when he was traded it devastated me, but I was happy he got to go home and play! The front office loved stevie so much they asked him where he wanted to be traded!

This guy embodied the Buffalo Bills of the drought years. Unheradled, disrespected, undervalued and flawed. Best part about him was he loved the team and the city. He gave us swagger when the rest of the league called us a laughing stock. He was by far my favorite Bill during that time. Watching him and Fitz was like a light version of Kelly and Reed. Obviously neither of them are HOFers, but somehow Fitz knew where Stevie was going to be even when the rest if the world had no idea what the hell Stevie was doing.

He was like Brandon Lloyd, not big, not fast, but his body control was amazing, could control the whole defense if he was playing well.. Antonio Brown of course was like this as well but AB was fast

Definitely one of the best we ever had. I still remember the why so serious fiasco like it was yesterday. Me and my dad ordered jerseys that same night, still have it to this day.

It’s crazy how much his route running reminds me of Diggs. I loved watching him destroy Revis every season. One of my favorite Bills players of all time.

I feel old now, because I vividly, and fondly, remember Stevie (and not just for his time with my Chargers). I've always been fascinated by WRs who shined but only briefly, wondering what could have been, in different situations. (Funny that SJ spent time playing with Brandon Lloyd).

Don’t feel bad: I’m only in my mid-20s and I feel old as well 😭 But same, as you can see by the fact that I’ve made videos on the two guys you mentioned lol. Always loved me some Kevin Curtis, Mike Furrey and Antonio Bryant too.

No but he was extremely up and down. And to be fair Fitzpatrick and Johnson only got to play 3 seasons together as QB1 and WR1
