It is clear to me that the helmets depicted in science fiction are far more advanced than the average helmet technology or cosplay helmets we have in our current world. In their universe, I believe they have eliminated the common issues we experience with our helmets such as helmet hair, sweat, and foggy goggles, as well as addressing the concerns raised by Steven A about vitamin D deficiency and White Rock's question about self-cleaning functions. Given that the helmets are pressurized, I assume they are equipped with a ventilation system to maintain circulation and a purifier to ensure the air inside the helmet remains clean. Moreover, I believe the helmet's temperature is regulated to keep the wearer comfortable. The animated series shows the neck base seals, which suggests that the helmets have been designed to prevent air leakage. The material used to create the helmet, such as Beskar, could be anti-microbial like silver, and I imagine they use antimicrobial plastics or materials for the interior components and electronics' coatings. The ventilation and pressurization system can also prevent the visor from fogging up, which helps to prevent condensation and maintain clear visibility. I believe that in their universe, they have figured out a way to absorb vitamin D through an ingestible form that maintains proper health without exposing the wearer to the sun, kind of like we do by taking Vitamin D supplements, but there it'd be more efficient. Some people may think that the requirement for the helmet to stay on ONLY in the presence of others is foolish. Still, I see the benefits, like preserving the wearer's anonymity and privacy. In a larger society, the rule may change to allow for helmet removal only in front of immediate family or clan members. Wearing helmets could provide additional safety, as traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) affect millions of Americans annually, and helmet use could prevent some of these injuries if we were to wear helmets here LOOL The helmets depicted in Star War are far superior to the helmet technology we have in our current world, and their designs address common concerns that helmet wearers face. The helmets' advanced features, including ventilation, pressurization, and temperature control, make them more comfortable and effective than our current helmets. The requirement for the helmet to remain on in the presence of others has both advantages and disadvantages, but it ultimately preserves the wearer's privacy and anonymity. Helmet use could contribute to overall safety and prevent traumatic brain injuries. So all the perceivable issues I see in the comment section don't apply in their universe. Sorry it's Saturday I had too much coffee and time on my hands as I am on vacation but still watching Star Wars related content. I am fascinated by Mandalorian lore and fictional anthropology. I guess I wrote in a way to address concerns some have because they wrote their comments as if the helmet tech would be from our world and make it relatable? I don't know, I went full nerd on this. I want to share more, but no one has time for that.

There would also need to be some kind of air conditioning technology. That would cook your brain in the heat, as any soldier who's worn a helmet in the desert knows it gets hot, and if your head was fully enclosed you would be dead. You need airflow to cool you down. So there would have to be some kind of cooling tech, because even in a moderate climate, with trapping the natural heat from the head you would be sweating like crazy. In a hot climate your brains would be cooking.

The funny thing is that in our costume Mandalorian helmets, it is common to install fans into these. Because different to medieval full-face helmets, ours have no breathing slots. First thing that happens is your visor clogs fully up, so you can't see anything. Then you feel that you slowly get dizzy because there is zero air exchange, as you normally wear a neckseal plus a balaclava.

In the Animated depictions of Mando and also Clone Helmets we can see a flexible Material that seals the Helmet to the Undersuit of the Armor. But in all live action depictions of Helmets in Star Wars this part of the Helmet is missing. I suspect these helmets have a light neural link to the wearer's brain through scanning combined with eye tracking as I don't think voice commands are an effective way to pilot a jetpack the way we've seen Mandalorians do so, among other things they can do without pressing buttons or speaking commands.
