I absolutely respect her desire to not return to Star Wars, but I'd be overjoyed if at the end of the episode when Asajj returns, she's revealed as the writer for the episode. Her perspective is just so important to the development of the character. No matter what, I hope she's living the life she wants to live. Great job as always, Jen. Sounds like you're going to make us cry with the next one! 😭

Thanks for your deep-dive video! I never knew that George Lucas’ own daughter helped shape Asajj Ventress’ story. That makes me love Asajj even more! Her character arc was one of the most interesting and compelling in the Star Wars Universe. So excited to see her return. Well-done to Katie Rose!

I learned a lot from this! I'd followed her episodes of Clone Wars she but never knew where she went from there or her background. I'm going to look up the book Herland by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. (I love books about utopias.) I got fed up with the fans long ago and try to ignore them. They identify as fans but hate at least half of the Star Wars movies/shows.

Jenifer, Asajj Ventress has always been one of my hidden favorites. She has her own arc, very private without anyone's help, she did it on her own, stumbled, picked herself up, and found a way back to the light. What I didn't know was Katie's involvement with this character, no doubt she captured the character perfectly and made it her own. Thanks so much for all the research, script, edit, and presentation. This series has become my favorite series to watch; love your smile and energy. Can't wait for the next episode. Best, Tony

Happy Birthday Katie Lucas. UR beautiful. Wow. I never knew u were on Star Wars. I didn't no, u were George was ur father. He was a the director. And I saw him, the movie, Men in Black. It was the monitor, when agent K said, "Everyone on the screen is an alien". Love Men in Black. Me, my younger and older brothers, we love Star Wars. We seen the first one, when we were little... ...can't remember when I was a kid. I was 4. Never seen it, I never forget. Seriously, Star Wars is my first favorite movies, all of them. Kids love action. Lunae Minx is beautiful, I love alien girls, Bow Chicka Bow Wow. LOL. U were amazing, full respect and support u Katie. Love u Lunae Minx. If I ever get married, and have kids... I would name one of them, Kylo Ren Guajardo and Ahsoka Tano Guajardo. Yeah. Its like the movie "That's my Boy." Donny name his kid Han Solo. May the Peace be with u Chi Eekway, Lunae Minx and Amee. Such a great video shining a light on Katie Lucas! I know a lot of the narrative is a bit more contained than the OT and PT, but if there's another "season" of The Jedi Beat it would be great having an episode about production of the Sequel Trilogy!

Great video! Thanks for doing it. I'd also like to see Katie Lucas back. She helped make Venttress one of my favorite characters. With Asajj back in Bad Batch my head canon theory that Shin is the love child of Ventress and Quinlan Vos can actually be true. If she ever appears in live-action, which she should, here are my casting ideas for an older Asajj Ventress: - Cate Blanchett - Uma Thurman - Angelina Jolie For a younger Asajj: - Evan Rachel Wood - Cara Delevingne - Margot Robbie (not realistic but had to mention) - Lauren Cohan (Maggie of TWD) - Anya Taylor-Joy (Queen's Gambit. My top choice for Ventress) - Sadie Sink (Max of Stranger Things)

Man I hope Katie was at the very least consulted if not intrinsic to the return of Ventress in Bad Batch. I don't even know how much of the dialogue and story points of Dark Disciple were kept from her scripts, but I do wish we had gotten those episodes because the story was just that good (and that's not to slight Christie Golden, the book made me want to see the final episodes more), and I don't know how they're going to reconcile the end of that book with Ventress' return. Katie knows this character more than most, I hope she had (and continues to have) a hand in her story.
