Yet another commemter born and raised in Milwaukee here. There's an observation area at the north end of the airport and you can tube your car radio to listen to the pilots and ATC. I have so many wonderful memories of sitting there with my dad watching planes take off and land. I've flown in and out of MKE and I think they have the nicest TSA agents, the coolest shopping (Summerfest and Renaissance books), and some of the best airport firefighters. MKE is protected by Milwaukee County Fire Rescue. MCFR Firefighters and their Air Force Collegues respond to emergencies in neighboring communities at the request of those fire departments for major incidents.
