Trixie style/brand is so widely known and appreciated. An idea for next season: work with designers/contractors to renovate multiple lgbt+ homes, each episode is a different couple and their home (similar to fixer upper- where they go to joanna gaines because of her style preferences). Budget comes from the homeowners and you do the designing etc

*If you're curious about the fireplace* "Ernest Batchelder was an artist and educator who became a leader in the American Arts and Crafts movement and a prominent member of the Southern California arts and cultural community. In 1910 he built a kiln in his backyard at his Pasadena residence and began the business of creating hand-crafted art tiles, which in a short time became hugely popular."

I always talk about interior design that is "curated", and I really think Trixie has that. Every little detail feels very unique to them as a couple. There's such a difference between a space that is just designed with a bunch of monochrome stuff from expensive retailers that's just thrown in, and a space that actually FEELS curated and reflective of the people that live there. There's such intentionality with every single little detail from the bird salt shakers to the stained glass. It's so satisfying seeing someone with money actually spending their money in a way that makes their space beautiful, classy, unique and stylish!

I love how alive this whole house is. It feels like it has personality and penache. Even without all of the commentary, you can just tell that a lot of love went into everything. It feels like a lot of laughter, frustration, excitement, annoyance, and just so much emotion went into building everything. All of the designs are over the top and campy, but it also feels so homey. Like this is the place you can be to just be yourself and unwind, or just have fun. Also idk how to explain it, and I don't really know that much about these people, but their whole vibe just seems kind. Like...the little spots to sit and enjoy the view or the compromise between color schemes or the way things are purposefully arranged. It all just has this vibe of being kind to oneself through simple acts.
