Thanks for watching and commenting. It takes a little while but it will make some ice. It would be nice if it had an alarm when it is full.

does anyone know how to clean the interior? My machine is moving so slowly, taking forever to make ice and the cubes are too clear/small. Is there a fix?

Wipe it down really good with a little bleach water, then rinse several times with clean water. Mine typically takes about 3 or 4 runs before I get really good ice cubes. It starts out with a few very thin ice cubes and works its way up. If yours never changes after several runs, then you may have a damaged or defective ice maker. Sounds like it may not be getting cold enough to make thicker ice cubes within the amount of time programmed. Keep it away from heat sources and make sure the fan is clear of obstructions.

@@RoCDIY thanks for the quick reply. So there is no way to open the machine up or remove the mold from the back? You mean just clean the main area where the water goes and then run it or run it with the chemicals?

@@blakeleymusic I understand your question better now. Yeah, these things will get mold really fast, if you leave any water in them at all. They need to be completely dry before storage. I would fill it with water. Add some bleach and let it run a long while. When you are convinced the mold is out, let it run with clean water for a while. Another option- If you have a sink spray nozzle or a garden hose nozzle you can spray it directly in to the vented piece at the bottom of the ice maker. The pressure may help break up any mold inside it. Dump water out if it fills up and repeat. If you start to see pieces of mold, then drain more often. Be careful not to get the whole ice maker wet.

Does it keep the ice cold and keep it from melting?

Thanks for watching and commenting. No, it will not keep the ice cold. In fact, depending on the outside (surrounding) temperature it may melt pretty fast. The machine will continue to recycle the melted ice to make new ice as long as it doesn't get full.
