You're so welcome. I never reuse my candy apple mixture. Some use it for lollipops. I just add water to my pot and let it boil back to liquid and pour it down the sink.

You can get it from Michael's or my Amazon Bake Shop: www.amazon.com/shop/diyqueendiva Make sure you watch the video to the end to get the final results on these Kool-Aid candy apples.

I think they will taste like koolaid. The color came out beautiful. How much white did you add to keep it from turning pink?
@DIYQUEENDIVA

Make sure you watch until the end to get the final results. I just added a splash of white like 1 teaspoon. I could've added a pinch more.

Could it be that there is too much water??
@DIYQUEENDIVA
2 жыл бұрын
No, plus I use 3 cups of water to 4 cups of sugar all the time to make my candy apples thinner so I won't have thick candy apples. Since the candy cooked to 300 degrees, in this case it was too much corn syrup because fructose is already in the Kool-Aid. Too much corn syrup makes candy taffy. If anything, I probably could use less corn syrup.
