I am not a people person and neither are my children so we tend to avoid crowd. I live in Florida and last summer I took my children to one of the springs located in the Ocala national Forest. When we do this we try to go early to beat the crowds and we also go on a weekday for the same reason. This was a different spring than we usually go to and people gathered much earlier than we expected. Some people were there with their families having fun, but there was a group of young girls who came to the spring, stripped down to their bikinis stepped into the water and went around the edge of the spring taking turns taking pictures of each other doing different poses. When they made the full circle and got back to the entrance that they came in at they climbed out of the water, dried off and left. I just imagined them posting those later that day talking about their fun day at the springs when in reality it was all for show. I was a teenager in the 90s and the idea of going around to do something just to take pictures of myself doing it is so foreign to me that I cannot understand the mentality. So many people are trading in real life and real experiences for the appearance of having experiences. I doubt any of these young people are going to be very happy with these choices when they get to be my age.

@@IvanIvanoIvanovich for obvious reasons. I live in the heart of Sydney Australia. Never feel the need to go to the Opera House. I have beautiful vistas. Incredible landmarks. Famous beaches. @@IvanIvanoIvanovich that's a valid point. But I don't see many Western faces stand out either since it is a fairly hot tourist spot. There's definitely other Asians there.
