Thanks John, all the white accessory connections had me a little confused. I'm glad I bought the factory connector harness.

Hey John, thanks for the video! I just bought this alarm for my wife's '17 FZ-07. Her '16 was stolen so we bought her this exact alarm. But now I'm contemplating if we should install it or not. Take care and have fun on the FZ-09!

The one on this bike works OK but if you ever need to work on the bike you're out of luck. I tried putting a powercommander on my Husky and as soon as you disconnect the battery the alarm thinks you're hot wiring the bike. I unplugged the alarm connectors and it still keeps going off. I finally ripped it out by the wires, wrapped it in a bunch of packing and threw it in the trash. Probably still going off.

John Boston Haha. It is pretty loud isn't it. The manual should explain how to disengage the system and I had good experiences with the company's customer service.

Can be installed on any bike. Not sure I would suggest it anymore though. The alarm goes off all the time and there seems to be no way to stop it.

Hello sir. Nice video on the system. I read one of your replies that you threw this alarm because you tried to install a power commander? Just asking because I ordered this same alarm and I might also install power commander down the road or any kind of electrical aftermarkets. Once you have this system in your bike that's it no other aftermarket electric system can be put on your bike anymore?
@wfofz1

It's just that as soon as you disconnect the battery the alarm thinks the bike is being stolen and will continue to alarm and you can not make it stop. VERY ANNOYING! Also the remote can not be put on your keys (or anything else) but must be carried in a pocket. Mine fell off in less than 50 miles. The company has no remorse and says that it's not to be put on keys. What does it have a ring for??? I won't be buying this again.

I have it cabled to a post and I hope that'll do it. I had the system on two bikes, the Yamaha and the Husky. On the Yamaha the bike can be moved quite a bit without the alarm going off. It does have a sensitivity adjustment but I haven't changed it. If it was more sensitive you'd have to have the ignition key turned on whenever you need to move the bike. Otherwise the alarm would be going off. On the Husky the alarm went off several times when there was no movement at all, even though it was on the same sensitivity setting as the Yamaha. Overall the system was a HUGE pain to use. And as soon as it becomes more of a problem I will remove it from the Yamaha as well.

@@wfofz1 we would love to discuss with you about some of the issues you have run into. We think that some of these issues can be easily address and would love to help you out. If you are working on the bike, have the key fob with you, or just disarm the alarm system before working on it. You can also disarm the alarm and remove the main plug and the system will not go off.
@scorpioalarms3951

If you disarm the alarm, and unplug the main module you can remove the battery and the alarm will not go off. We recommend for the fob to be carried in a pocket, due to the fact that the fobs when attached to the bike keys on the triple clamp can be crushed between the triple clamps and the frame or body components when riding and turning the bike. Please contact us about the fob.

I have read and seen that it appears this system using the fob you can kill the engine even though it was started in range of the fob and with the key ie getting bike-jacked you can just disable the bike with the fob as they are riding away is that really how it works ?

Hi, do you encode your remote before you use it?
@fyrye

No, the remote that comes with the unit is encoded from the factory. Additional remotes need to be encoded to the alarm system using the instructions that come with the alarm.

Cant you use the remote to disarm it when you remove the battery ? And what about just disarming it and the remove battery ? Or just remove the backup battery ?
@wfofz1

No, That would make too much sense. Even with the alarm Disabled, as soon as you disconnect the battery it will alarm. The back up battery is inside the unit and not accessible.

Sure. I ended up removing these alarms from my bikes because they go off all the time and if you need to disconnect the battery for any reason they think the bike is being stolen. One of them I ripped out by the wires and wrapped it in bundles of paper and put in the trash can while it was still alarming. Also, the key shaped controller (which has a KEY ring) will fall off and be lost. The company will NOT stand behind the product.

It s pretty nasty that noboby read the manuel .This alarm is the best alarm you can buy . But please read the manuel . You set battery back up nest the tank , doesnt matter , the other plastic thing is the perimeter sensor , to detect people near your bike , there s 5 ajustment you can choose for sensibility or proximity . Also , you have to connect a wire tomthe license light , and then when you use your key in the switch you ll send 12v , and the alarm will detect that you have the key , so you will be able to drive your motocycle like it is off . Man your video is awsome and you good teacher talking but you dont know your mathematics !!!!
