*Well-made, delivered quickly, and easy to install with **Fastly.Cool** . I may be imagining it, but it seems quieter than the 14 year-old unit that I pulled out. Of course it was noisy at the end due to failed bearings, so hard to compare. :)*

This fan works very well. kzitem.infoUgkx7yWIKcrbA9KMHkGSfcgxW2lsjHT6B8Sh I replaced my old fan as our radon levels began to spike. When I remove the old fan water poured out of the fan. Must have entered in through the out spout. Replaced with this unit and levels dropped a bit but still over 4.0.Did some more digging and found that we had a small hole under our waste pipe that was allowing some water and radon in.Patched the hole and the levels dropped almost overnight.I really would recommend the radon sensor. It gives real time readings. Without it we would have never known that we had this issue.

This video is really helpful for us to know how to install a solar powered attic fan.

does not appear they used near enough caulking. I install these (different model) but apply an upside down U around the bottom face of the plate before sliding under shingles (opening of U facing downhill) as well as along the edges to keep water from getting in. I also always caulk on the holes before screwing screws in addition to going over top after they are in. This may seem overboard but the last thing I'd want is rain getting through into my attic. Besides it's not worth an entire tube of caulk to only use those 5 dots.

what you are saying (apply an upside down U around the bottom face of the plate) seems to make sense but I wish you could provide us with some photos with a link for how it is being done the way describing it

My garage is only insulated on one side because it only has living space above/adjacent to the one side. The other side has a small roof over the second car garage, currently the garage gets up to about 88 to 90°F in the summer. Would installing one of these be enough to pull a lot of that heat that builds up in my garage ceiling out?

2 questions. Cost per unit, and will that solar panel hold up to the 90/100 MPH wind we can have in Florida?

Put screws under shingles!! Any caulk you put on exposed screws or nails will bake off in the sun!!

I got one and did nothing. I actually got the top of the line Remington solar fan and my attic is still hot as heck. I noticed most videos have their comments turned off. Now I know why
