Can this torque sensor be used with any bafang or mxus motor and controller and display? Or we need your special controller and display?

It would be a lot of help if you would give the size and number of both BB tools. For example Park BBT-9.

You said Witeless? How sensor data are sent to the motor? Which motor you use? Is there any kit available which includes TQ sensor, motor and controller? How do you power sensor if there is no wires going to botom bracket???

Hey Robbie, thanks for the video. Just got my eRider unit, so your timing is great. There's no doubt that you look great in black, but the laws of physics relating to light and human biology unfortunately aren't cooperating with your sartorial choices. Holding up any dark items in front of a black t-shirt with black gloves will result in ... well, you'll (not) see what I'm getting at when you review your video! You guys rock, and I hope nobody got injured during your move to the new digs.

If I install a torque sensor BB, would I be able to use throttle AND torque sensor at the same time with the CA v3 ? In this case, I would connect the throttle directly to the CA and the torque sensor in its specific CA connector, right ?
@GrinTechnologies
Ай бұрын
Yes, 100% correct. We've been a bit perplexed why there's been some assumption that throttles and torque sensors are someone mutually exclusive. Having both control options available is always the best.

My erider I have been trying to get working. Every time I programme it every works, I unplug the programming cable and test and ok and I go to ride it and no pas. It resets itself. I've grin emailing to try help but it's over a week of no pas working now. I've had 4 people trying to do it for 10+h so it's not just me struggling. We conclude it keeps resetting????

can these guys plug straight into a kt controller and work like a cadence sensor with little or no settings tweaks?
@GrinTechnologies
2 жыл бұрын
Assuming you get the pinouts right for the PAS signal and have a 12V rather than 5V supply then I don't see why not. The cadence portion of the module is electrically the same as most generic PAS sensors, giving 0-5V pulses with forward pedaling and no pulses when pedaling backwards.

thinking of buying this with my Grin Kit and also getting the belt drive upgrade from Kinetics Bike Shop in Glasgow, but im just wondering would the two be compatible? I read belt drives operate at higher tension which puts more wear on bottom bracket and rear sprocket, but there's also the question of whether it'd be able to be fitted at all. I would link a pic but i think youtube auto deleted my last comment even when i tried to obfuscate the link, but it seems Ben's (kinetics workshop owner) kits use the same 5-bolt shape as the brompton chainrings so i guess it'd just be a bit thicker, would that still work with the ERider spider and crank do you think?
@GrinTechnologies

There is no issue with belt drives, the pretension forces pale in comparison to the tension from active pedaling so that doesn't change the wear dynamics of the bottom bracket by any noticeable amount.

Thank you for the great video. I have Swytch kit on my brompton, will this work well with it? Also does it matter my Brompton was made in the late 90's? would there be any issue with fitting it?
@GrinTechnologies
Жыл бұрын
It's extremely unlikely that the motor controller on your Swytch kit was designed to bring out a plug that will be natively compatible with a torque sensing bottom bracket like this.

I have a Landian Sinewave (36V 15A) with a torque sensing bottom bracket. Would I be able to get the ERider to work?
@GrinTechnologies

If you already have a torque sending bottom bracket, then you have no need for an Erider. Just use the torque sensor you got with the controller which you know is already compatible.

I'm having issues with my erider bottom bracket. I'm getting a torque signal but no cadence signal. Is there a way to set up the CA 3.14 to use only the torque signal while I figure out why I get no cadence? Have you seen anyone else with this problem?

Can the IDbike TMM4 torque sensor be used with the Cycle Analyst V3?
@GrinTechnologies
2 жыл бұрын
You can use the force signal from the TMM4 as an alternative to the throttle input command of the CA3, but you can't use it on the torque input line since the torque PAS of the CA3 requires cadence pulses as well.
