I still drive my 2002 4x4 xterra every week. It's our off road mountain and beach sand vehicle. Purchased new and perfectly maintained. 161,000 + miles. My worry is the rollover threat. But to each his own, they look good raised up. 11 years we lived at 5,100' elevation with winter snow. This vehicle is excellent in up to 2' of snow up or down steep grades. Very dependable, But again I worry about rolling. Have fun!

OOo great man !! I wish this Xterra I had brand new and could have kept it good and well maintained all its life but I try to keep it well now.. lol as for roll over true you have to be careful but then again if you are not trying to make a sharp turn at 50mph+ it should be fine

Great tutorial, better safe than sorry and you took the extra step to make sure that it goes smoothly as much as possible. What is the part number on the extended hose you ended up using please? Ive been contemplating on doing my body lift since no one in town here wants to do it and I did a body lift on my 94 nissan pathfinder many many years ago but with this tutorial Im going for it thanks yo you

OOoo I really hope and wish my video would be helpful to you ! would like to know how it will go once you all done ) just yes take your time and its not that hard as long as there is not many rusty bolts .. )) the part number for the hose I got is Dayco 71637 they should have it it any auto store or here is a link to amazon page amzn.to/41VnpXB you no longer have that pathfinder ? I keep dreaming one day to get myself a pathfinder as well from those model years and in manual transmission )) lol

@@DIY_AUTO_PHOTO Thanks for the quick reply and link to the radiator hose mate. I still have my pathfinder and its been sitting for the last 10 years. Replaced all y bushing with energy suspension , installed a steering stabilizer from rancho last year and its getting another motor put in once it stops snowing here and the guy who’s doing it gets his vacation from the Nissan dealership where he works as a mechanic. Right now im focusing on the X , after installing. 295x70x17 Yokohama geolandar G003 on Fuel kicker D699 my newly installed All dogs 2.5 lift didnt clear the tires but i want that combination so bad that Im willing to go the extra mile to make it work and with your tutorial i feel confident to do it and that template trick for the rear bumpers would greatly help. I have a stash of nuts and bolts too that Ive collected ove the years when im at the junkyard . Thanks again and keep up the good work

because I run into issue with broken nut in the body that I had to cut open and missing bolts and wrong hose type that I had to drive and get a different one it too me longer but in total body lift should not take longer then 6-8 hours ! good luck on your body lift ;)

You're welcome, extentions effect an impact wrench or gun. But with a hand torque wrench it won't effect that. Over torque could break a bolt so I figured best to say something. Thanks for the video. A body lift is much more involved that I had thought.

@@Gillettesgarage Yes ! definitely its always great to get any kind of feedback especially positive and helpful information to learn something new every day! will you be doing a body lift as well ? when bolts are not rusted or stuck its not too bad and can be done in one day or in few hours with the help of the friends )
