Channel drain will never handle all that water from the down spouts, not to mention, it is intended for catching surface water, should have used a "y" to tie both downspouts, and ran them out by there self, channel drain ran by itself, just me though.

The layout of the home and property showed it with lots of rough woods around. No neighbors on the drainage pipe side? I'd run the existing black drain pipes out and away from the home towards the woods. Simpler than pulling the pipe down the side and into a drain system. I'd add the channel as you want but not pull more than just surface water into it. Thank you for your help in the presentation.

Just found this vid So has the drain held up all these years? Good vid Rebar (tip) Crease ( expansion?) Sledgehammer ( compacting) Waiting to reseed in fall. A lot of stuff randomly said that is actually helpful. Comments on the concrete as to not using it. WTH! I say why not? Won’t hurt it! Hopefully it was a successful for you. Like to hear how it is now. About to start mine Northern Hudson valley NYS. God bless keep up the videos.

At 1:49 it shows the 2 drains next to each other why not put a Y into the existing underground drain?

Did you ever fix the rotted door or siding? Dealing with a similar issue myself.

I would have just used a 45 at the end of the drain instead of taking the post out, but thats just me.

Looks like you need some wet and forget to spray on the door, house and concrete to keep mold away. I use it once a year on my decks and I have no more green. Also I would of dug a deeper hole added stone and 4" of concrete under the drain. Looks like you only have 2" of concrete. It will probably crack in years to come.

Randy, please explain why not putting 4" of concrete under drain will cause crack in future. Is it because of settling? I was thinking of just putting tapped down gravel underneath the drain. I'm installing a channel drain next week and want to make sure it's done right. Thanks!

@@enriquefidler1813 You're right. 4" under drain is only if the weight of cars are driving over it. That's per the specs.
