When I ordered them the company presets it for me but yes if I change batteries in a cart that already has this charger I use the app to set it up.

Good work Ed. Straight forward job for those with golf carts.

Thank you. That thing is the easiest to install and it's a 100% upgrade from the shelf charger.

Great video! Do these chargers hum like the old power wise ones?

Not at all. You do get a click when the AC is connected but otherwise they are quite.

@@PullerbearEd great! Thanks. When you installed the Amazon outlet did you just cut the end off the included power cable and wire it in? I was just going to open my seat and plug in each time but I like your install better👍

Yes I cut off the end and wired it directly to the plug but there are other outlets that have a cord with the female end and you can just plug them together.

So I hooked mine up like your video but my cart won’t move. I moved the lockout wire to positive on my battery pack and it works fine. I checked voltage on terminal 2 and I’m only seeing about 14-15v rather than the full pack voltage. Any ideas? Thanks!

The #2 terminal is a signal safety wire that sends voltage to the cart controller to make it inoperative during charging it shouldn't be hooked directly to battery pack voltage.

@@PullerbearEd on my 98 TXT DCS cart if I hook to number 2 it gives about 12v when the charger is not plugged in to AC and no volts when plugged in and charging. The cart doesn’t move this way. If I connect that lead to positive on the battery pack then the cart goes.

Hmm I'll have to check one of our carts..I always thought the #2 was hot when charging.

But how do you keep the carts from trapping your foot? j/k Oh how nice that type charger would have been in the early 80's when a friend of my had a place at the beach

They are great, the best part is you don't need to drag the old heavy charger around. The other big thing is being able to see the state of charg with the mobile app.
