The old BIOS does not see the new NVMe SSDs, as they do not have the NVMe drive boot module. Accordingly, when installing such SSDs, even through a PCI-e adapter, the operating system will not boot from it! The video contains information on how to overcome all obstacles so that the bios sees the M2 SSD and loads the operating system from it, i.e. uses the new NVMe SSD as a boot disk on older systems, using the example of asus M5A97 R2.0.
Also in the video, we will analyze which adapter is needed to connect the M2, take a little look and measure the speed of the samsung EVO 970 500Gb in the PCI-E 2.0 connector (It is interesting to know if the speed will be less than on PCI-E 3.0).
