I don't know if you are still testing different equipment out, but I would be happy to help out. Experimenting with everything, and it's overwhelming

Help please! I'm CA4JDM in Chile. I cannot get the testing to pass--using my router. My internet is high speed StarLink sat direct, and using an ORBI RBR750 Router. It is my understanding the router needs to do port forwarding, but I'm not sure if I can do that with my setup. Can anyone help?

Yeah, so I’m stuck needing to setup port forwarding. Guess what Starlink Satellite Internet doesn’t allow? Port forwarding. Guess what AT&T via mobile hotspot doesn’t allow? You guessed it, port forwarding. Looks like I’m stuck researching VPN’s and introducing additional delay.

Is there a way to search for repeaters by my area? Seems like no one shows that

The best you can do is get down to the FCC region. Unfortunately, most regions have a HUGE amount of stations listed and it's hit or miss.

As an idea for a future video... how about explaining how to setup a radio/repeater system where you do no have to use the computer as your interface into the EchoLink repeater system? With this system, any user in the local area to your repeater will be able to use their handheld or mobile rig to connect into EchoLink and use the system without having their own repeater.

EchoLink is exclusively for enabling PC/internet connections into RF. It sounds like you may be thinking about All-Star or the like. I've thought about doing a video on how to set up an EchoLink server, but opted out. Reason being there's already too many people haphazardly connecting their radio into a repeater or repeater network without permission of the repeater owner. Those who know enough to not do that, already probably know how to connect a radio to a computer. 73s N5TXL

@@n5txl Well, the Wiki for EchoLink seems to suggest that EchoLink allows a person to connect a transceiver to a computer that is running Echolink and anyone with a radio that is local to the station-connected transceiver can connect to a remote EchoLink server and/or transceiver. I may have misunderstood it but take a look at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EchoLink

Nice, but why need a licence? Technically your not transmitting directly over the airwaves, but over the intenet. So you're not a transmitting radio amateur over the airwaves, the repeater is doing the transmitting.
