The 24 hr suggestion is so the wood can climatize and have less risk of cracking.

Jason & Lauren - I'm enjoying the videos. questions -- what/where is the endpoint you are wiring the lights to? Fusebox? type of battery? did you consider lights that you could change the color? I see you chose warm/white based on the amazon link. Love watching you both learn and have such great teamwork and attitude.

@@patrickvanderhyde This comment seriously makes me SO happy! 😊 I’m really glad to hear you’re enjoying the videos. So let me answer a few of your questions: 1. The next point for the wiring of the lights will be the dimmer switch, which will lead to the fuse box (we’re going to do an electrical video once things come together) 2. Batteries are Lithium (brand is Lion 1300) amzn.to/3MppxjY 3. We did talk about changing colors but we are going to do floor lights so we’ll see if Jason can change my mind 😉 So grateful to have you here with us 🫂

Dumb question but how did you cut the Maxx Air fan trim too short? Wouldn’t it work as long as the edge goes beneath the surface of the wood? It doesn’t necessarily need to go all the way up to the base of the ceiling.
@hellolaurenstone

Not a dumb question at all because that is literally exactly what I thought. The issue was that there is about 2 (ish) inches that is exposed around the trim so it needs to be at least the length from where the frame starts to where the fan sits in the ceiling (if that makes sense).
