Love the car and that exhaust setup sounds great! I have a cl9 with a PLM header too but a high flow cat instead of a test pip, I was wondering how it would sound with this particular exhaust given I have a high flow cat on mine 🤔

I'm very interested in what mods you have planned next. I've heard that the American and Japanese 2006 onwards K24A2 cams were one of the most aggressive in the k-series line up and would be a great budget upgrade. Thought it would be some useful information

Headers and tune is where the biggest initial gains are. 20wkw at least with just those two. Exhaust doesn't do heaps... Maybe 2-3wkw

You can still run a Cat with a bit of cut and welding. Run a high flow cat. 200 cell I believe is the minimum legal and not noisy. Can go 100 cell if you don't care and a bit noisier. Performance difference between 100 & 200 cell is minimal.

Hmm so the PLM header is a straight bolt on for our spec CL9? I'm in Australia and bought the PLM and Yonaka from speed science (thanks NZ!!) and thought I would need to get the secondary O2 sensor moved. Also your channel is litty 🔥😂

Just a little update on this, I had to extend the primary o2 sensor, just did it myself by splicing in wires from a broken sensor I had, the secondary was fine. No check engine light with reflash and defouler. But the header was touching my frame, I had to hammer it, not happy but it was only a small amount. Had to clamp the test pipe and put sealant in the collector pipes to stop leaks. Probably won't go PLM next time. Sounds and performs great though 👍🏻

It's kinda plateaued after about two weeks. Still leaks a tiny bit but I don't mind. It's more of a slight hissing sound from under the car rather than a typical exhaust leak sound

you need to weld the PLM headers. I’ve watched a few vids on this header setup & if you don’t weld it, it tends to leak & sound super raspy.

Nah not at all man it's perfect - when you're not booting it, it hardly makes any noise at all. It's only when you really get on it that it makes a racket. Ideal imo

CU2 is definitely more of a boat and thus would be harder to make quite as sporty as the CL9 because it's always got the weight disadvantage. But the K24Z3 engine is superior because it already has a 50deg vtc and more agressive cam so it's possible to make more power with fewer modifications. Also the stock CU2 gearbox has shorter gear ratios too...

It comes with all the bits you need to make both ends meet the exhaust and headers so no need for adapters. And no, just rerouted the cable over the subframe rather than under through a series of clips like before

Hey, I have another question according the Exhaust manifold install. When you installed the new plm header, how much did you torque down the bolts and in which order ?

I've been wondering if these will fit with my CM accord lol. I know it will bolt up fine with the engine, but not sure about after that lol.

@@KiwiCarLife Really and it's the CM model not CL? Thanks for the information man wasn't sure on pulling the trigger on them, but now I'm def going to get them. Just recently got Ktuner so this is my last mod for the daily lol.

Hey. How easy was it to install the headers. Will it be okay to install it on jack stands ?

Yep can do on Jack stands. Fairly easy... just a few bolts

Hi there again. I installed my plm and its leaking from slip joints. Did you put in some sealant or got them welded ?

Not too bad tbh - it's obviously louder than stock but because they're both off the shelf parts it's pretty good

@@jeremiah4k927 ah that’s why. US spec is a CP2 not CL9. To us, our Accord is your TSX. So yeah it won’t fit

Not trying to be that guy but i believe the correct term is Header not headers, now if it was a V6 you would then say headers. Any chance you can start doing dyno runs between mods to give people an idea of what to expect if they too go with these mods.

Yeah true probably is header. Then again we don't say pant we say pants even though there's only one of them... I would do a dyno run between mods, however it's like $1000 per run over here. So a 0-100 time and or rolling race is a cheaper alternative

@@KiwiCarLife Nice logic on pants, never thought to hard about that word lol. Most dyno power runs start from $100, if tuning or spending more than an hour on them then you start paying more per hour. Try Keith Stewart in Palmy, he only charges me $100 at a time how ever that was a few years ago.

Yea it is stinky I have the same headers going to a tanabe medallion exhaust worst smell ever and my check engine light turned on after a few miles of driving

@@edwindiaz6317 ahh, so I presume you have a tsx? Not sure about any reputable tuners in the US but there's sure to be some around! They will be able to disable the 2nd O2 sensor so that it doesn't throw an engine light.
