Looking at these for a daily-driven e82, and a little bit of autox/HPDE time. Seems suitable for occasional fun times, mostly highway driving. Thanks for video/information. Also, you must be in Gold Canyon, seeing the Superstitions from that angle. #creepin

Great video. Thank you! I am getting an 03 hopefully in four days. It has to be trucked to Texas from Florida. It seems Coilovers are the first, and best big improvement people recommend. I will be looking at things to do when I get some more $$$. Thanks again!

You can actually get some decent performance out of the stock leaf springs if you have a Z06 with the right shocks. I was just looking to make my suspension truly independent and get rid of cross-talk while cornering

Did you ever figure out a setup for these that worked? Or is it still a bouncy mess? I'm looking at coilovers for my C5Z, and these seem to get lots of love.

Idk everyone talks about how good they are..but I could never get them to feel right. I have a feeling they accidentally mismatched my valving for the springrate I was running. So you might have better luck

Aside from waiting to hear back from tht manufacturer, how long did it actually take you to install them and what did you end up setting that dampers to after the break in?

The whole process took me about 4-5 hours, but that was taking my time making sure every single bolt was torqued properly. For break in I left them how they came out of the box. I don't really believe in a "break in" period for coilovers. The other thing to note was I had to send one of my rear dampers back a week after installing. The adjuster somehow broke and just spun (didn't stop at softest/hardest settings) and turning the knob had no affect no the damper. The replacement was covered under warranty

Whats the springrates front and back. Thanks for the review. I had hsd and they were pogo sticks, then I got aldans and front was vague and rear bounced side to side junk.... I am thinking of replacing with silvers for street and track use..

Did you reuse the stock bolts on the front lower control arms? They seem to not be long enough and only have a few threads of engagement
@CanyonTuned

Yes I used all stock hardware, if you have an older car they might be a different length. Mines an 04

What spring rates did you decide to use for front and rear? Did you upgrade to Swift springs? After riding on this setup for awhile would you have chosen different spring rates or gone with another brand of coilovers?
@CanyonTuned
2 жыл бұрын
I just used their standard springs I think they were 14k front 10k rear and it rides terrible honestly. Their valving doesn't seem to be matched properly to the spring rates and my car just bounces like I have eBay coilovers no matter what damper adjustment I make.

@@CanyonTuned wow, I was looking for updates on the set up and then seen this comment. Did you get it sorted?
@CanyonTuned
2 жыл бұрын
@@maxthemadtuner Unfortunately I didn't I just don't think the manufacturer valved the dampers correctly for the spring rate. I may try to go with a softer spring or just switch to other coil overs all together
