As a NBS owner I feel that aftermarket suspension market has produced very little bolt on products for NBS compared to OBS Trucks. Weather its Tubular Control Arms, Triangular/4-link, or coilover conversion there are way more for OBS, C-10s, and S-10s than NBS Trucks.

What type of issues did they cause? I'm currently running a flip kit on my NNBS Procharged Denali. Haven't had any wheelhop issues, nor do I dig race.

@@calvinjames7302 what flip kit are you running? My issue was the bolt holes, compared to to the belltech plate holes, were a little off. But off by enough to slightly move axle position if I remember correctly.

did you ever drill the pilot holes? and you mean the two extra holes you need to drill thru the actual springs right? that has to be a massive pain especially with them still on the truck, that is why I think Caltracs would be better

I'm not crazy about the angle of the bars. I basically have the same truck, my bars are not parallel with the ground, they're at an angle. Looks like yours are the same way. They did however get rid of my wheel hop also, so I guess I can't complain lol.

Hello love what you did to the truck. When you removed the overload spring how did truck ride and about how much drop did you get. You also said a 3/8 bolt correct. Thnx so much

We didn't end up drilling the leaf, and they seem to stay in place just fine.

Yes, same truck. We ended up removing the drop leafs since they didn't;t ride that well. Went back to a stock leaf with drop hangers and a shackle.

Will these work on a lifted 4+4? I want to run traction bars but the off-road ones take away from your ride height and can get hung up on rocks etc

How did traction feel after the install was there a noticeable difference in traction? Or mainly just wheel hop delete
@AZProPerformance

Mainly got rid of wheel hop. Hard to tell the traction difference, since the motor just spun the tires pretty easily anyways. lol

These aren't much better than the $100 axle slappers you can get. I like that there's no binding but on a truck that's not going to see off road it's not an issue and I've used axle slappers on my truck with 14 inches of travel in the rear and honestly worked okay. It stopped the wheel hop and only limited articulation by 1 in. But I lost 2 in of droop. I've got a Dana 80 full float going in right now and I don't want to use the axle slappers anymore so I'm looking for a new setup. I'm also installing hydraulic bump stops and the brackets for full airbag. I don't remember the part number but it's a Peterbilt airbag rated at 14 inches of wheel travel. It's for 18 wheelers but I've got the space under there. Working range is 9 in. So I think with the limiting straps and bump stops it should work okay. If not it's back to the drawing board. And I haven't decided if I'm going to swing arm or four link. With the swing arm I wouldn't have to worry as much about the suspension geometry. But then I have to run some sort of Johnny joint in the back to keep the axle center. I've done a lot of custom suspension work for 18 wheelers. And go karts. But both of those are completely different from a long travel truck setup. Daily driver at that. For now I'm just going to run a single ladder bar and leaf springs. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to get some adjustable shocks in the rear because that Dana 80 is massive. It's like 750 lb. The old axle was 250. And trust me I wanted to use a Dana 60 but the Dana 80 was free. I know it's going to slow down the truck a lot but the factory Chevy 8.5 with chromoly axles and chromoly pinion chromoly everything well I split the case. I'm not even running massive horsepower just like 450. It's a 390 small block. But 4,000 RPM clutch drops around the corner through the dirt. I guess them little toothpicks just can't handle it. And it's a six puck carbon ceramic clutch. No springs. I need to start uploading videos of it and call it the trailer trash Baja buggy. Or broke a$$ buggy. If somebody has a good name for a build that's nothing but free parts. I refuse to spend any money on it. Mainly because I have no money. But I have knowledge a welder and people that like to give me free s***. My wheels and tires are coming off my dad's 06 f250. The solid axle conversion for the front is coming off a f450 the springs are coming off of a 01 Cummins 4x4. So it will be a Dodge Ford Chevy. I may put air ride front and rear cuz I can get the airbags for free. We'll see on that.

Would you suggest these over caltracs?
@AZProPerformance
3 жыл бұрын
These work really well, and didn't require me to shift the tank over to get the leaf spring bolt out again. So, little easier install for our application, and price was a little ,more affordable. Heard nothing good about CalTracs too, but these work well, and no more wheel hop at all!
@RealSteelStreet
2 жыл бұрын
The only thing “better” about these are the price tag…but you get what you pay for! These are a wheel hop cure due to pinion angle ONLY, no added traction. CalTracs stop all wheel hop as well, with the added benefit of actually putting downforce on the spring and hence the tire via their pivot arm/roller 👍🏼
