Thank you for choosing to watch our video! For those of you who are familiar with installing pole barn tin, what are some tips or tricks that would help or some common pitfalls or traps to avoid when installing tin?

I have SO much experience with cart/horse issues you wouldn't believe. But two years after we began, we've almost got a completed house and totally off-grid. I haven't gotten any real experience editing videos yet, but we've posted a bunch of raw videos of what we've been able to accomplish by ourselves up to this point. I enjoy watching yours for ideas of how to edit our own. We appreciate what you're doing!

You can pilot drill all the screw locations at the same time while all sheets are stacked together horizontally. Then, no need to measure or mark while putting them up, just shoot the screws in easily! Thanks for sharing!

@@rixtrix11 That would have been much easier. I’ve seen that done before, but had forgotten about it until now. I’ll have to do that on the reminder of the building. Thanks for watching!

Regardless of your lack of "expertise" your getting it done with your own 2 hands and that something to be proud of. Besides, show me an expert who started an expert.

A couple of thoughts on installing the siding. First off I think you guys are doing a great job with this project. I appreciate you sharing it with everyone. I'm just a homeowner, not a professional. When I did my siding, same style, I placed 1/8" thick pieces of wood (like thin paint stirrers) on the bottom metal trim and placed the siding onto the wood strips. After securing the siding with several screws to hold it in place I yanked out the wood pieces and moved onto the next panel. That way I had no scratches on the bottom trim. No big deal that you scratched yours nobody will see it. Even though you installed a foam gasket on the bottom I would also use some type of spray foam (type for use around windows to prevent buckling) or caulking on the inside to keep bugs out. If there are any holes no matter how small they are critters have a way of finding a way to get inside. A mistake I made is I placed the metal close to the ground and wish I would have raised it up 6 inches or more so that when I weed wack around the building I have to be careful not to nick the metal trim. Keep up the good work. Stanley in Md.

@@1man1woman65 those are great tips! We are planning to spray foam the building in a year or so, that will seal up the building pretty well. Thank you for watching!

Hola from Spain! I would have predrilled your sheet metal holes to maintain a constant line and used roofing screws with rubber gaskets. Good luck!

@@rayv7010 hello! Pre-drilling would have been nice, we will do that on the rest of the steel. We are using the rubber gasket screws. Thanks for watching!

Like your show, when cutting numerous sheets clamp one end. Pre drill the sheets with a 1/8 drill, makes it easier to put the screws in when installing. Keep on chugging.😂

12:23- her saying "Looking Sharp", as an editor, should be replayed in other videos. It's gold, cute funny and shows her value as a character/contributor to your videos. Use it to build her as a draw to your channel that makes people want to come back and see her again. Put it in future episodes randomly, people love funny phrases that are repeated. You build the road, build a house, put this clip of her saying "Looking Sharp"in. Viewers will repeat it, say it and it will endear them to come back to your channel
