Thank God! You almost gave me a heart attack! I almost thought you gutted the back seats in that beautiful car for subs lol! About to put a hit on you lol! Nice job bro! Even more important, nice ass ride man. I have a 2011, 3.6 Performance, black and everything too. Put a custom blacked out grill, front facia, and carbon fiber piece where the chrome usually is on mine. Looks nasty! Anyway, love the Lac bud, take care of her ✌️

In the CTS the battery is behind that panel on the right rear corner inside the trunk.

DONT DO ALL OF THIS WORK! Save yourself an hour or two! 1. Open your trunk disconnect your battery (always do this when unplugging shit) 2. pull the carpet away right behind your driver side tail light. You will then see your Bose factory amplifier with 4 plugs going into it. plug up top and 3 plugs on top of one another…. 3. Unplug all 3 lower plugs (keeping track of the very bottom plug as this contains the wires you’re looking for) 4. pull the push pin out that’s directly below the amp attached to the harness. (Removing the plugs and pin will give you more than enough slack to work with. Again, The wires you’re looking for are on the bottom plug… those wires being: Light green/black= sub+ Dark blue/white= sub-) 5. For the love of god wire you’re shit the right way! Don’t use those stupid quick splicers or regular butt connectors. As a man you’re only 3 options are 1. Get the correct pin gm uses for that harness and run two wires from it. 2. solder and heat shrink tubing. or 3. the heat shrink butt connectors with solder in them. 6. WARNING!!!! THIS STEP IS ONLY FOR THE CTS OWNERS WHO USE PRONOUNS TO IDENTIFY THEMSELVES: tap into your starter signal wire and also a ground, drill a small hole on top of your gas tank… big enough to slide both wires in, but small enough to seal it up so gas doesn’t leak. What this does is eliminate and chance of that annoying ground humming noise…. Oh and the ability for you to procreate. HAVE A BLESSED DAY!

Whole lot of removal when you could have tapped into any of the speakers wires at the door where they are exposed. Just Google the color description for your car.

He used a high level to low level converter,, he tapped into the speaker wires from the stock subwoofer to the high level side (speaker connections) then you can plug your RCA cables from that converter low side to your sub amp (or any amp actually). The only other wires you need then are the power, turn on and ground for the amp which can all be run without touching the stock radio.
