I have used these several times since I put them on and I can say they help a ton!!

I tightened my rear pads down after bottoming them out in the slots. After tightening the pads are on a bit of a tilt. Not sure if I just have to loosen them off and keep them straighter upon tightening? I think they are bottoming out on the flat bottom of the chassis. So not sure if they can bend over any at all. Just a few little nitpicky unknowns with them and how they are intended to end up. Bottomed out in the punch weldnwith the tips up against the flat chassis bottom or try to keep them completely straight while tightening and see of they will stay that way? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

@@scottypknowmsayin6918 if I remember correctly I had the same issue and had to slide them just a little until I could get it completely flat. I think making sure it’s flat and even is key especially while jacking the car up.

@@BROCKgoFAST I went back under and the actual pinch welds are tilted in. So they just keep the angle of whatever they tighten to. So it is what it is. I'm sure it will be fine. Pinch welds are such a stupid design. They should have dedicated lift points. Like factory lift pads/points other than shoddy pinch welds. Oh well, it is what it is. lol

@@scottypknowmsayin6918 I totally agree. With todays technology built in lift pads would be easy

For sure. I’m currently staring at the car right now to put the exhaust on

I wonder how well they hold up over time as far as possibly falling off. I almost feel like drilling a hole through the pinchweld and putting a longer bolt through the weld and through the other side of the jack pads would at least hold it in place. I'd be worried about vibrations and road harshness/ debris taking one of those things off. I'll have to take a look when we do our vlog together!

I thought about that but can’t see them coming off. The Camaro community uses these like crazy and a lot of the track guys do to and there hasn’t been any reports that I’ve seen with them rattling themself off

Use a drop or two of blue loc tite if desired. 👌

I bought these pads but when I went ahead and installed them they seem to still make contact with the end of the pinch weld. I noticed this because once I pushed it up as far is it could go it would rock left and right or side to side. Doesn't this defeat the whole purpose of the cut-out in the pad if its still making contact with the actual pinchweld itselft? I thought it was suppose to set in on the base or the sides of the pinch weld.

Great question. I had to adjust the location of them on the pinch weld. I had the same issue too but if you slide them a little you will find a spot that they fit flush with. It’s a pain with those tiny Allen screws lol

This would be easy with an Allen bit in 1/4 drive Rachet.

Would using some Loctite be a good idea when installing these?

That’s a good question. I don’t think it would hurt. I can tell you I’ve tracked with them on and they did very well

How are they holding up? Also, whenever you go to GM for service, do you mention the lift pads or do they lift elsewhere?

So far so great! 2 track weekends and still there. I don’t really go to the dealer much so I haven’t told them to be honest

Woah thanks for the reply!@@BROCKgoFAST I don't have much garage space, if at all, to do any maintenance etc on my own vehicle. So the likely option is just going to the dealership for service. Would GM be more likely to have proper lift methods than typical (hence making the need for these pads less required?). I just don't want to end up putting these on then GM service advisors asking me to take them off again haha.

@@bens9450 no problem!! I think they would help the techs and protect the car. When I put the exhaust on the car we used the pads and it was actually a great thing I had them as they haloed with clearance in the side skirts

do they stay on or do you have to uninstall them everytime you're done using them?

Great question. They are meant to stay on at all times. I’ve tracked the car at Sebring for 4 days and that track is pretty rough and they have stayed in place
