Do you have a video showing how to trim locs shorter n how to blunt off the tip after trimming them shorter? I been wanting to make my locs shorter then blunt the tip off with the crochet hook but im not sure if i should crochet the trimmed ends without folding or if i should fold the trimmed end into the loc then crochet, i was gonna do the cut straight across cause i feel like trimming sideways will be harder to get the length i want

Okay, Its been a year for me now with locs the only thing I have my ups and downs with is the frizz I’ve done palm roll & inter-lock but I’ve never actually done that instant lock method. I really just wanted to hear some thoughts about it if it’ll help with frizz I might try it once every year so I’ll probably get it done now then not do if for a long long while. I also wanna know about the pros and cons with this method google is not a great source to many back and forth discussions nothing really saying yes go for it. Please help🤙🏽
@kieshaarielle
3 жыл бұрын
When I was at the 11 month mark of my loc journey, my hair was still frizzy; but as I progressed it went away. However, you can crochet the loose hairs back into the loc if you're up doing that with all your locs. If so, I did a video on repairing thin locs but the concept is the same for crocheting your loose hairs back into your loc. Check that video out here: *Repairing Thin Locs* kzitem.info/news/bejne/xX5vr2mmjXWVq4Y The pros of Instant Locs is that your hair looks like locs, but that doesn't avoid the budding and frizzing stage as technically your hairs aren't quite locked in terms of the time it takes for the inner parts to really lock lock. Cons is that it takes a lot of time installing Instant Locs

If you're referring to interlocking the roots with the Latch Hook Needle, then you can try other ways if you don't have one. But, if you are referring to the crochet neddle used to pull the hairs into the loc then you can use whichever you have that suits the size of your locs 😊
