Hello, I enjoy your videos. I am a half Filipino 52yr guy from Oklahoma City area but born and raised in Philadelphia. I use the same ingredients except for the brown sugar. I also at the end would put the instant pot on sauté mode or keep warm for awhile to reduce the sauce maybe by 50% to thicken the sauce and serve over jasmine rice. Anyway..well done!

Hello! Thanks for watching. I also saute at the end, I like a thicker sauce!

i actually use your pork adobo method because i love my instant pot. i use it a lot for many filipino dishes. i also teach my husband to cook filipino food & so far he has mastered how to make & cook lumpia from scratch. it's his fave. lol!

Tried your recipe without marinating for 30 min and then did a final saute for 10 min. It turned out amazing! Perfect amount of ingredients! Bravo!

I found the key is the sauté at the end which allows me to boil the sauce down to the consistency I like and the flavor. Need to watch so it doesn’t burn. I constantly stir. If I run out of liquid and sauce is too thick, no prob. I just add water and reduce again. Ps I mix pork belly chunks with pork shoulder for the health conscious folks. He he. Your mileage may vary. Good vid. Thanks.

First recipe I used for my instant pot duo that I got for Christmas. Thought I had ruined it when I was using the sauté and burned the juices black in the pot, but I kept going and finished and it’s super delicious! I made jasmine rice to go with it, probably should’ve done some vegetables too but it’s good with just the rice.

Delicious recipe - for 1 cup soy and 1 cup vinegar, I would use more than 3 lbs of meat though.

Thanks for sharing. Your cooking method is very similar to my family’s. I don’t add sugar. I use organic apple cider vinegar to achieve a sweet note to the dish. I look forward to following your channel.

It will be okay if you marinate it over night, but I think it's a bit of overkill for chicken, just use pork.

@@pinoywhiteboy8021 if I reduce the soy sauce and the vinegar to 1/2 cup each, what would be my measurement changes for the other ingredients? And also do I change the time setting for pressure cooking and sauteing it? I ask because I'm cooking only a pound of meat. thanks so much.
