This works even better if you understand what it is you are doing. It is difficult or impossible to stretch your muscle if it is under tension. When you do this, put all your weight on your bent leg and focus on gently stretching the side with the straight leg. I find that trying/pretending to lift the heel of my straight leg off the floor ensures that I am putting little to no weight on the muscles on that side.

I had my doubts, then I just tried it, had to find this video again to confirm IT DOES WORK, I was maybe 4 or 5 inches away at first, then after this stretch (with a bit of pain) I was able to touch my toes! This man is a legend , take his advice seriously

What in the world? This actually worked for me lol. I usually have the tightest hamstrings where if I reach to touch my toes, I have about a 10 inch distance to close. But doing this for 20 reps instead of 10 reps helped me touch the toes. I am shocked lol

When I stretch, I get progress during the stretching routine. When I stretch the next day I feel like I have never stretched. I always feel like I’m starting from zero.

Theres a "trick" that some people say that works that is... Basically... Flexing ur quads for something like 30 or 20 secs and then trying stretching again... They say it makes u go further

Hey there, great tip and content, it's been really useful to try and explore my limits, but in doing so, I got a question: I've been doing calisthenics for a while now, but as I progress I find it my lack of flexibility more and more limiting. Past injuries also add to my stiffness, since I suffered a disk herniation in my mid-low back about 1 year ago. I've been wondering if there is a well defined set of stretches I could follow to slowly improve? Preferably something I could stich to my already existing workout plan or something that takes around 15 min for quality stretches that can be done anywhere. Any leads are welcome!

Something similar to this, I was shown 10 years ago: instead of doing 'all the single ladies', the trick was to turn on the spot a couple of times, and turn the other way to stop the dizzy. I probably works the same way, just a bit less efficient than this 😅

I've been doing it this way (but I was often bouncing) for as long as I remember and it always worked. But people told me it is not a right way and that a different way is better so I never commited to doing that regularly. I thought I was broken that it worked
