What kind of patch cables are those and what is that cool looking eye of Ra Egyptian glowing module on the left called from Instruo? Love the Egyptian hieroglyphic artwork of your modules and great tones.
@instruo
4 жыл бұрын
They're my own branded/braided patch cables :) The Leftmost module is a one-off. It's my original prototype of a sample&hold/noise source. The aesthetic is a tribute to the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild game on Nintendo switch. Only it and two others (which I built as gifts for close friends) exist. I don't know the legalities of using such imagery commercially. They are very much not for sale in that form. I believe nintendo protect their IP strictly. Consider it "fan art" built as a funny looking module!

Great stuff Jason! Do I understand correctly that the changes for the 2020 update is: 1) The new LFO button 2) The addition of the sub-2 positioin to the square switch? I just managed to snag mine from Signal Sounds, really looking forward to it. Had to cancel it from Scneidersladen, been waiting since June 12 and they now have it listed as unavailable.

Yep that’s correct :) It is the original module I built. It’s a sample&hold with white noise source. Switchable full wave rectifier over the input signal, attenuator over input signal, switchable mode between S&H and hold&track, a built in clock, and slew limiter over the output. It’s fun, but I very much designed it around the eye graphic so it looks like sheikah tech! So the layout is far less than ideal as far as interface design goes... (not only because it’s labelled in ancient Hylian) I produced a small quantity as the Tàgh module with its more formal faceplate but it never went to production as it doesn’t fully fit into the Instruō range. I made it for myself as a way to celebrate completing the Champion’s Ballad expansion in Zelda:BOTW 🤓 Only 3 exist in its Zelda theme. My own and two that were gifts to friends.

Very much a matter of opinion and context I think :) Cš-L has many more timbral capabilities. The lower oscillator core is the same as that used in the Tš-L. The video quality has improved greatly since Cš-L!

@JHJLIM

SeN YanG interesting! If you pick up a Tš-L I would be interested to hear how you find them to compare. I designed the Tš-L before the creating the Cš-L. It was essentially a test prototype of the triangle core architecture. I was developing the method of producing the stepped triangle wave in prep for the Cš-L development. If anything, the original Tš-L had slightly softer raw waveforms than the production Cš-L has. This Tš-L revision is closer now to the Cš-L.
