This toolkit was compiled for cultural heritage practitioners working at the community level and informed by the Cultural Heritage in Kenyan Counties Report. It provides a step-by-step guide for practitioners looking to improve their programs, with insights from fellow community-based cultural heritage experts.
Skills for Culture is an African Digital Heritage program conceptualised in 2019 as part of the British Council's Cultural Heritage For Inclusive Growth program. It seeks to increase the visibility, ownership, accessibility, inclusivity, and transmission of cultural heritage by bolstering the status of cultural heritage and translating it for the next generation through contemporary practice, participation, and technology.
