The "Intellivision" brand has so much negative baggage from the Amico/T.T. dumpster fire that I don't think anyone is willing to take the risk. The hole is so deep it's gonna take so much time, energy, resources, and money to dig it out and repair all the damage. Why not invest in something that's not carrying all that baggage right from the start?

I re-watched their pre-order gameplay trailer of 2020 and it's kind of sad. There's many games I'd like to play and never came out, in particular the Mike Mika games (Cloudy Mountain and Night Stalker remakes), Breakout, that dolphin game made by the Ecco guys, even Skiing, to name a few. Many honest and good devs were left in the cold when the company took a bad turn. I hope they can actually manage to release these games somehow because some were almost complete.

You need another phone or tablet to install the Home app, then the controller app on another phone. They either didn't have the talent to port it properly, or were too lazy, so this was the sloppy solution they came up with to try to claw a few more dollars from people. Don't fall for it. If you pre-ordered, get your refund and don't claim these games. If you didn't, and still want to try these games, they're available on PC and Switch ( I believe). Search for their names to find a list of availability. Amico Home is a dead end not worth investing into.

This is the result of the failure of management. In project management, the scope of work, and the agreement with the designer must all be crystal clear, and communication between one another must be clear. If they followed these principles, this would have never happened. Scope of work, fit for the jobs based on experience were all obviously unclear, communication between departments were very unclear, thus resulting in devastating consequences. After taking a class in project management, there aren't any guesses as to why they failed. Managing projects is a big deal, and such miscommunications are the costliest mistakes any company can make...

Love the Minus One comparison. I've also heard that it was even less than 15 million for that movie. Just goes to show you when you understand business and plan efficiently you can succeed. Tommy flat out didn't understand the console market and tried to conflate it with the mobile market, he blew millions on empty office space because he was a pandemic denier, and thought he could get away with it by cozying up to youtubers.

It's crazy that Tommy raised 17M then wasted all that money on useless stuff instead of actually making the consoles, now he's scraping the barrel by selling ip rights and lame roms on mobile and people still try to defend the whole thing. I mean the fact they are making people use 2 phones to play a game is just insane. I thought this was supposed to be simple pick and play. They should have just done a simple handheld plug and play with the few new games they have bundled with older ones and call it a day. Make it it a handheld that looks like the amico controller that you can hook up to a tv. That would be still been a disaster but better then home.

Another great video NSG. I downloaded the Amico Home app on my phone for just the curiosity and I never planned on buying anything through the app. Imagine my surprise when, shockingly, the app boots up and I am immediately stopped at the home page by a pop-up telling me that I can't continue forward unless I have the controller app loaded onto another phone or tablet. I feel so much rage and confusion because this is the failure of Intellivison and the Amico all wrapped up in one incredibly stupid idea that has some of the worst user friendliness in any technological system in the past two decades. How do you screw up one of the most basic ideas of creating a phone app? This is worse than Ubisoft managing to screw up Tetris. At least Tetris has so many versions to choose from and even programming friendly to those who want try their hands at it. Sorry for the rant there but Intellivision is dead. I can't believe I'm saying this but Intellivision should sell all remaining properties to Neo Atari.
