Green skies and non-stop cloud-to-ground lightning accompanied an intensely severe tornado-warned thunderstorm in Amsterdam, NY on May 29th, 2013. Widespread wind damage was reported with this storm, along with a funnel cloud in Rotterdam, not far from this location. The lightning action starts after 5:00. A very frequent lightning rate tends to be indicative of a tornadic storm around this region.
UPDATE: The National Weather Service in Albany confirmed that a mile-wide EF-2 tornado with 125 mph winds touched down just south of where this video was taken.
